He went as far as a personal jab could go and he went straight to call out Cody's mom and tell her "You're welcome" for beating the bloody crap out of his son with a belt. They way he spoke, man, that was savage. This is the promo that truly defines his gimmick now. This is not Hollywood Rock, this was never about the return of Hollywood Rock, this is a reinvention of The Rock. He is now at the TKO board of directors, he is now the Final Boss of WWE and he does whatever he wants."

[9.0] "Great segment by The Rock. His return for WrestleMania as everyone knows started out horribly, but once he became a heel and fully embraced that role, he's been killing it with his promos. You could argue he's overshadowed Roman vs Cody, but that just speaks to his star power and how great he's been. The opening part with Rock talking about his history with Memphis wrestling was nice, you could tell it meant a lot for him to be back there. The concert was funny and had some good lines. But once Rock got serious after that, he really showed why he's one of the best talkers of all time. Mocking Cody for crying when he was talking about handing the championship belt to his mom is such an asshole move. Rock describing in detail how he's going to beat Cody bloody with his belt and hand it to Mama Rhodes was downright sinister. 9/10"

I liked it when it was mainly Dwayne playing, but nonetheless, he's so entertaining that he's able to make it all work pretty well. Out of what I've watched, The Rock has been the biggest highlight in everything. He's such an asshole, really seen with his continuous 'I love you too! ' gestures, which I'm pretty sure the last few times were faked lol. Obviously, nothing beats Sacramento, but considering The Rock sounds like he'd start wheezing if he ran more than 15 seconds, this was pretty good."

The concert part was fun and all, but the best part about the whole promo was Rock tearing into Cody and his mom at the end of this promo. He came off as such an asshole during that, Rock is truly a one of a kind talent when it comes to promos"

I can take or leave the concert at this point, but the promo he cut on Mama Rhodes was some of the best TV WWE has produced in a while and actively added to the build of the match. Rock is setting the stage, telling the crowd what's going to happen, so when he does pull out the belt, it will get a bigger reaction than it already would have. He's telling you what's going to happen before it does. I enjoy Rock getting his shit off, but where he really shined was setting the stage for the mania match, adding tension. He's still one of the best promo guys ever, adding to the magnitude of a match, better than anyone in the States currently can."
