[0.0] "Comically bad. The sunhat just adds something to the absurdity of it all. Her telling us her parents name's - like they're well known people? The flipping from "You know me" to "You don't know me" is simply priceless. And to cap it all off with her attacking the turnbuckle. Bravo."

[0.0] "Amazing, brilliant, an all-time masterclass of a promo, Marina had the glory to come out and cut one of the greatest..... Oh who am I kidding, this promo *really fucking sucked*. I would give a 1 point rating for Marina at least trying in what was her first promo but no, it was not only short, but it was utter cringe. Yeah, it's nice knowing the backstory and all, I mean one of my parents also came from Europe and immigrated to the US in the 90s and it's always interesting to hear wrestlers' backstories and where they come from; but everything after that falls apart when Marina just rambles on about how her hometown "created the problem". And then we get to the "You don't know me" acting like she's Adam 'Edge' Copeland. I'm sorry Marina, but leave that catchphrase for Edge and Alter Bridge. Marina must have went to the Vickie Guerrero school of promo to give us this, then again, Vickie was in AEW for quite a while, even during this segment and we all know how cringe Vickie can be a lot of the time. It's crazy how two of AEW's worst promos were made within two weeks of each other; you might know the other one, let's just say it's the one where a line implies that Britt's name "rhymes with shit", but this promo by Marina makes that promo sound like the greatest promo ever given minus the, you know, online controversies that one caused."

[10.0] "This is sincerely one of my favourite promos of all time. It legitimately fills me with a sense of joy that I've only felt in a few other promos in AEW. Marina Shafir trying so hard to establish herself as a defiant presence and a genuinely intimidating heel character, by just relentlessly shouting you don't know me, is a decision that I'm not sure how anyone came to, but I will be endlessly grateful for them for doing so. It is especially interesting to look back on this promo as a microcosm of what AEW used to be not that long ago. Vickie Guerrero in AEW, Shafir as a promo and not a silent enforcer with the Death Riders, the fact that it's on Dark Elevation which I miss dearly. Wrestling changes so so quickly. This is one of my favourite Dark/Dark Elevation moments and I'd love to see her get back on the live mic once the death rider storyline has concluded."

[0.0] "It's so bad. I don't know who knew the idea and let her out there with a live mic, but they need to produce better. The announcers didn't help either. Sorry, not everybody makes the big team, you don't got it."

[0.0] "This is an odd transition from like hometown babyface promo to "you people" heel promo. I get the idea is that Albany is the people that "know her" and the pointing to the camera symbolizes the AEW fans en masse "don't know her". There's know follow up to this though at all. You either know her or you don't it seems. She tries to end with a catchphrase but she doesn't enunciate enough so it sounds like she says "violins" twice. I live twenty minutes away from this arena. If I had known this would have happened I feel I could have stopped it."

[5.0] "I honestly cant give it less than a 5 cause its just so goddamn funny. Its like watching a car crash, you cant take your eyes off it. The delivery is trash, the words make no sense at all, and on top of that she's a former mma fighter doing a promo in a fucking straw hat. Legendary stuff"

[1.0] "Unfortunately, nothing went right with this promo. It was crazy, made little sense, and left me with more questions than answers. Why did she have that Huckleberry Finn hat on? Do I know her or not know her? However "When the violins play, violence is always on the way." is such a badass line, though."

[0.0] "The promo, honestly, could've been fairly good. Some of what Shafir said really could have been used as a basis for a promo that wasn't just her screaming about the fans knowing and not knowing her. It was hilarious watching this and seeing how bad of a promo this was. It really could have been good, but instead Marina cut one of the worst promos."

[1.0] "This is unintentionally one of the funniest promos I have ever watched. Like, it's such a cringey mess of a promo I was laughing my ass off. But other than that this is one of the worst promos. There's no reason for her to have needed to speak and it was all over the place. First she brought up how she was born there and how they took her family in and then she starts insulting them for it for some reason ig because they made her and welcomed her with loving arms and then in one of the cringest moments in wrestling she starts saying how they know her but we don't know her and throws a temper tantrum. I am explaining this because you can tell how little sense it makes. The only redeeming thing about this promo is the fact that it is unintentionally hilarious."

[4.0] "I think this is funnier than another meme promo "where's the lie? " by Bobby Fish. The line about violins and violence are cool."

[0.0] "YOU KNOW ME, YOU DO...YOU DON'T KNOW ME YOU DON'T KNOW ME YOU DON'T KNOW ME! This was so lame that Vickie Guerrero was laughing. There was nothing correct in this promo, this was so empty and uninspired, moreover Marina Shafir's acting was cringe. At least the promo is (unintentionally) funny and is perfect for memes."

[0.0] "This is what happens when you tell someone who can't improv to "go out there and make something up." Marina had no fucking idea what point she was trying to make and instead of coming off as intimidating, she just looked like an angsty teenager trying to come off as threatening. Bad promo, what an embarrassment."

[0.0] "I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT THIS PROMO, I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T KNOW! I KNOW, IT SUCKS AND BURIED, I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING THAT COULD BE GOOD ABOUT IT, YOU KNOW ME, YES YOU DO, NO YOU DON'T I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO SCRIPTED IT, I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING, SORRY, NOT SORRY, AAAAAAAAH"

[2.0] "It's fair to say this promo didn't go too well: I think the point Shafir was trying to make was that ALBANY knows her, but the wider audience doesn't. Sadly she doesn't make that clear and as a result it comes across as very confusing. Personally I'd chalk it up to inexperience and the pressure of being on camera and in front of a big crowd. Hopefully with practice she'll do better in future."

[0.0] "This has to be one of AEW's worst promos in history. Marina just proved exactly why the fact that she made it to AEW and WWE is one massive mistake."

[1.0] "I don't think it's the worst of all time. it was completely flubbed and came off as stupid and embarassing, but I can at least see what she was going for, and it's kinda funny."

[2.0] "honestly "Albany... My name is Marina Shafir, daughter of Dizabella Shafir and Veniamin Shafir, and YOU welcomed us with open arms in '93 when we emmigrated here from Moldova." is a solid start to the promo too bad she fucked it up, there was a solid foundation and maybe in another life if she started wrestling at like 19 instead of 31 she could have been a solid wrestler. unfortunately she's just terrible in the ring, 20% of this promo was adequate and 80% was absolutely unlistenable. even the solid start had terrible delivery, 2/10 it's better than some old TNA promos."

[0.0] "One of the greatest promos of all time, second only to maybe Punk's pipebomb. Dwayne, MJF, Jericho, take notes."

[0.0] "This promo was terrible. Marina Shafir is GARBAGE, terrible wrestler terrible promo terrible at everything, this promo didn't even make sense."

[0.0] "This promo completely revealed just how much of a charisma vacuum we all knew Marina Shafir already was. Well done AEW, for giving us all a good laugh. LOL."

[0.0] "No joke, without debate, in all seriousness, undisputedly, this is the worst promo in professional wrestling history."

[0.0] "Yeah, this is a really bad promo lol. There's no two ways about it really. Thankfully it was on Dark, a show that nobody watches, rather than Dynamite or Rampage. I think it's good for people like Shafir to "get these reps in, " if you will, but that doesn't mean this was good."

[10.0] "This promo is soooo bad I have no choice but to give it a 10. A so bad its good promo. Marina Shafir hasnt made much of an impact in pro wrestling but she has this legendary wacky promo. The straw hat, the randomness and uselessness of this promo just adds to the comedy. Not a good promo but gets a 10 for unintended comedy/entertainment"
