Gene Okerlund: "Tito Santana will be going against my guests at this time -- and on the line, the Intercontinental Championship of the World -- for you; Jesse 'The Body' Ventura. Welcome back to the Bay Area."
Jesse Ventura: "Well, you know what? This is gonna be truly indeed a sad day for old Chico from Tijuana."
Gene Okerlund: "Right, well he's from Tocula, Mexico." [see Note 1]
Jesse Ventura: "Wow, where-- That's a suburb of Tijuana, who cares? You know, you ever been down there? You ever face 'Chico's Revenge' when he'd sell you one of them tacos? Wow! Twenty-four hours later you pay for it 'Mean' Gene!"
Gene Okerlund: "Along with a little Mexican tapwater, yes I get it."
Jesse Ventura: "Yeah. Let me say this to you, Chico, it's gonna be a double loss to you: Number one, after I whip you for your Intercontinental title, you're facing a lawsuit from me, my man, for coming out on national television and lyin'! Lyin' to all the people in the Bay Area, telling them Jesse 'The Body' Ventura hit you with brass knuckles, Chico Santana. The last time in that tag match, when me and 'The Macho Man' slapped you, and that Pedro Morales from here all the way to San Jose! [to Okerlund] We even as-- When they were done they even asked us: They didn't know the way to San Jose!"
Gene Okerlund: "Yeah. I got that the first time, Jesse."
Jesse Ventura: "Yeah. 'Cos we knocked 'em out! Chico, all you got was a fist sandwich. And what you gonna say this time? What will the excuse me this time, Chico? When Jesse 'The Body' lays the big fist right in the chops, and you're down for the ten-count. You not only lose the Intercontinental title, but you lose all that money when I take you to court Chico; for lyin', for slander, for doing what you did to me, saying I hit you with a foreign object. How atrocious!"
Gene Okerlund: "Alright, I thank you J--"
Jesse Ventura: "That insults my integrity!"
- Note 1: In reality,
Tito Santana was born and raised in Texas, but was billed as being from Mexico in an attempt to increase his appeal amongst the Latin American fanbase. In his autobiography Santana notes that there is no "Tocula, Mexico", and that he was supposed to be from "Toluca, Mexico" (the third letter is 'l' not 'c') but Ring Announcer
Howard Finkel repeatedly mispronounced it and the WWF decided to stick with the mistaken version going forward.
