[WCW Commentators Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan throw to Gene Okerlund who is in the ring with Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and Sting]
Gene Okerlund: "Alright Tony, Bobby, it is time to fish or cut bait. Because tonight, sixty men are going to be vying for the title of WCW Heavyweight Champion of the World. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, Sting, Hulk Hogan, [to Hogan] a lot of people are picking you to regain your title tonight, this capacity crowd no exception here in Norfolk."
Hulk Hogan: "Well you know something, Mean Gene, out of something bad always comes something good, brother. Because these Hulkamaniacs have stood with me, with the training, the prayers and the vitamins. I took a walk to the dark side, brother. [see Note 1] If I would have taken the final step, maybe I wouldn't be here with my two best friends tonight. But brother, now I know who my friends are man, and tonight, the dark side of Hulk Hogan, brother, will be no more, brother!" [Hogan tears off his black durag and black shirt to reveal his traditional red and yellow colours.] The dark side of Hulk Hogan is over, brother! That's the deal! [Sting throws Hogan's black clothing into a bucket, which then catches fire dramatically] We're gonna burn the Dungeon of Doom, brother! I will never ever again question Sting. 'Macho Man's my friend, Sting has stuck by me since Day 1, I wanna be your friend forever! I don't care what your trip is with Lex Luger, I will always be your friend, Stinger!"
Sting: "I'm with it! The Hulkster, yes! That is WCW, and the black is gone for good! Right, Mach?"
Randy Savage: [to Sting] "When you're wrong, you're wrong and I was wrong, and I just wanna say I'm sorry. You're the coolest dude in the world!" [meanwhile the fire in the bucket is growing]
Gene Okerlund: "I think we've got a little fire going on here, can somebody get this out? [to Hogan] Hulk, I get the point..."
Hulk Hogan: "Well you know something, Mean Gene, something that's really funny that we've been laughing about in the back is the fact that everybody said the 'Macho Man' [Sting tries to put the fire out by waving his arms at it] has a legitimate injury, brother. What a joke! The 'Macho Man''s arm is perfect! That was just a plan. Because between the Stinger, 'Macho Man' and Hulk Hogan, [Sting again tries to put the fire out, using a bottle of water] the WCW Title brother is gonna be with the Hulkamaniacs. Just like the people..." [the fans start raising their voices as Hogan holds a roll of paper up in his hand.]
Gene Okerlund:"You can hear 'em, Hulk! Listen to 'em!" [Sting tries to put the fire out by blowing on it]
Hulk Hogan: "You know something, brother, OBSERVE THIS, brother! [see Note 2] This [pointing to the paper in his hand] is what we call a 'Rag Sheet', brother! They say The Giant is going to win the match. They said 'Macho Man' was hurt! This is like, this is like a dinosaur compared to the Internet, brother, the Internet's got the scoops! [Sting ducks off camera to try and put the fire out] We're gonna steal the belt, the Stinger, 'Macho Man' and Hulk Hogan together! The 'Macho Man''s not hurt, and what are you Hulkamaniacs gonna do when the Stinger, 'Macho Man' and Hulk Hogan run wild on you guys, what are they gonna do?"
Gene Okerlund: "I have no idea what they're gonna do, I know one thing, the black has been burned, Hulk Hogan is back in the yellow and red of Hulkamania! Along with Sting and the 'Macho Man' Randy Savage! Up next, Diamond Dallas Page and Johnny B. Badd, right now let's give you a run down of the past between these two men!"

- Note 1: On October 9th 1995 Hulk Hogan began appearing in all-black attire, teasing a heel turn which never transpired. Of course eight months later, Hogan would turn heel by joining
Kevin Nash and
Scott Hall in the NWO.
- Note 2: This is a reference to Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), one of the most well known 'dirt sheets' (or 'rag sheet' as Hogan calls it) - publications that covered all aspects of professional wrestling (and later, other combat sports such as Mixed Martial Arts) while ignoring/breaking kayfabe. The November 20th 1995 edition of WON reported that Savage had suffered "a legit tricep tear" and was at risk of missing the World War 3 match, but there is no mention of Hogan's other claim, that they had reported
The Giant would be winning the match. In the issue of WON following this event (the December 4th 1995 edition), Meltzer described Hogan's fourth-wall-breaking promo as "one of the weirdest interviews probably in wrestling history" and commented "Since it appeared to be directed at me, I took it as a tremendous compliment."
