[Im Ring spielt eine Mariachi Band, zu deren Musik WWE Champion Brock Lesnar zum Ring tanzt.]

Brock Lesnar: "Alright, alright, that's enough. [Die Band hört auf zu spielen, während Brock Lesnar laut lacht.] That's hard work. I guess I owe you an explanation and I owe Eddie Guerrero an explanation. You see, Eddie, I'm gonna throw you a little celebration tonight, Eddie Guerrero. Because this Sunday, Eddie, at No Way Out you will have absolutely nothing to celebrate, Eddie Guerrero. So come on, guys, let's celebrate Eddie Guerrero! On three, guys, on three. One, two-- wo, wo, wo, wo, I almost forget. Uno, dos, tres! [Die Band fängt wieder an zu spielen und Lesnar beginnt zu tanzen, bevor schließlich Eddie Guerrero zum Ring rennt und die Gruppe aus dem Ring vertreibt.]

Wo, wo, wo, Eddie. Relax. Relax, Eddie. I'm just throwing you a little celebration, Eddie. I paid good earned money for those guys. They swam a hell of long ways to perform for you, Eddie. You see, Eddie, I know you're a fighting guy, Eddie. I know you're always fighting the odds. And even tonight, Eddie, your own tag team partner has been taken out of our match tonight, Eddie. You are a fighter, Eddie. That's what these people love about you, Eddie Guerrero. You are a fighter. Eddie, you are a fighter, listen to these people, Eddie. They love you! [Laute "Eddie"-Rufe hallen durchs Publikum.] That's for you, Eddie! Hey, hey, wait! But listen here, addict. Come this Sunday at No Way Out you're not fighting the odds, Eddie. You're fighting me – Brock Lesnar! You see, Eddie, it's not gonna be enough for me to beat you one, two three. It's not gonna be enough for me, Brock Lesnar, to defeat you, Eddie. I'm gonna torture you. You see, Eddie, while you were off fighting your demons I was winning NCAA Championships. While you were a recovering addict I was on my way on becoming the youngest WWE Champion in history. Eddie, I hate guys like you, always running around expecting sympathy from everybody. Guys like you running around take things away from hard working people like me. Eddie Guerrero, I really hope you are addicted, addicted to losing. Because this Sunday at No Way Out you're gonna get your fix."

Eddie Guerrero: "First of all, holmes, I gotta give it to you, man, that was pretty good. You wanna talk about addiction, ese? You wanna go down that road, vato loco? You know what, holmes? We're going down that road, well, let's do what we say in Spanish [bringt ein spanisches Sprichwort ein], let's tell in straight up, man. The truth is, Brock: I am an addict. See, Brock, about three years ago, holmes, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, vato, your home state. That's right, vato, in the shower in the locker room – oh – I was high, bro. I WAS HIGH, HIGH, HIGH! And I don't remember much about that night, ese. But what I do remember, they carried me out of that arena and they carried me straight into rehab. Let's see, they didn't do that, I did that to myself, vato. But that was just the beginning of it, ese. Because, see, through all that time, Brock, through all those three years not only did I wind up losing my job. I lost my wife, I lost my kids and I lost myself, I lost my spirit. I disgraced my race, I disgraced my family and I disgraced myself. But you know what, Brock? I came to a point in my life, ese vat, I came to a point where it was do or die, holmes. I had to make a decision.

Do or die? And you know what, ese? I did, because I am here right now! Day by day, by the grace of god, I have earned my way back in to this ring, man. Day by day, by the grace of god, I have earned the respect of my kids again. Day by day I have earned my life back. And see, holmes, when I stand across you and I see that [deutet auf die WWE Championship] and I see that across your waste, you know what that symbolizes for me, ese? That symbolizes for me 'I'm sorry'. That's my way of telling my family I'm sorry. That's my way of telling my kids I'm gonna provide a better way of life for them, I'm gonna get the bikes that they wanted, I'm gonna give them a better education. That's my new addiction, holmes. See, when I step into this ring, yeah bro, I am addicted, I'm addicted to the high that I get from them [zeigt in Richtung Fans, die laut jubeln]. I'm addicted to the high that I get when I go home and I tell my family 'Hey, I'm doing it'! I'm addicted to the satisfaction that I get to tell everybody like you, that didn't believe in my, you can stick it up your ass! I'm addicted to the Do-Or-Die-feeling, holmes, that I'm gonna have this Sunday night at No Way Out. Because you know as well as I do, holmes, ohhh what a high it is when we're in here, brother. See, but the difference between you and me, Brock, is that I'm an addict and I'll do anything and run over anybody that it's gonna take to get that around my waist and get my high at No Way Out and become the WWE Champion, orale vato!"

This is about as inspiring as a promo can get, and for Eddie to pull this off ahead of the biggest match of his career, a match in which he is the undersized underdog going against the ultimate big bad bully champion, is perfection. Eddie's eyes chico, his delivery, his authenticity, his intensity! You can feel the fire burning inside of him, and it's a thing of beauty. I almost tear up everytime I get to see this. Also, that mic drop is immaculate. It doesn't get any better than this. Eddie was the man!"

Just the all time best from the all time best ever in Eddie Guerrero."

[10.0] "Not only is it a great promo to further enhance the legitimacy of Eddie Guerrero ahead of his match with Lesnar, but it is probably the most intense promo ever cut in WWE history. The emotion was real, and while there were some times where it was a little sanctioned, it is still a wonderful moment in the career of Eddie Guerrero. He worked damn hard to get to where he was at that point, and there was no turning back after this promo. He had been a legend before, but this promo cemented him as a great."

He knew what he wanted to say and he knew where he was going with his speech, plus he didn't make it overdramatic, which made it even more relatable to the people."

While I'm not a drug addict, or really an addict of anything, I am someone who struggles with mental health all the time. At the current moment of writing this, I've let my mental health get the best of me for a quite a damn while, and it has pushed so many people I love and care about away, and has made life very difficult. OCD is very much something that is like an addiction to me, where it's this constant need for reassurance and that impulse for temporary relief. It's made things really hard for people that care about me. This promo really makes me want to push hard towards improvement, and to get back stuff in my life I have missed for years. Thank you Eddie Guerrero, for still being an inspiration to this very day."

[10.0] "The only reason I can imagine why this isn't one of the top rated promos is because they grouped together Eddie's with Brock's. Eddie's promo here is the greatest promo of all time, and I don't even find it to be a difficult decision. It does everything a promo is supposed to do, and does it so perfectly. It tells something real that also fits perfectly into kayfabe with no compromising or complicating either. In Eddie's position as an underdog, he has to explain not just why he wants and needs to beat Brock, but convince us how he can. He was able to do all three of these things all at once, and have them actually be the exact same reason. I can't think of a promo that does all these things so perfectly. And then on top of that the delivery was incredible, and it was unique to Eddie and not in verbiage that could have been given to anyone else. Don't know if anyone will ever touch this."

It lead to that now very funny gif of Brock Lesnar dancing in the Mariachi hat. In all seriousness, the showstealing part is what Eddie Guerrero said which is pretty inspirational."
