AJ Lee: "[Brie Bella hat gerade Natalya besiegt, da ertönt die Musik von AJ und die erscheint mit einem Mikro auf der Bühne]

OMG you guys I just watched last nights episode of Total Divas and it was insane, oh my gosh, I mean the Bellas were dealing with their obvious daddy issues. The Funkadactyls broke up and got together again and Natalya's fiance isn't much of a man. And the other two were also there. It was great, it really was and it was the end of the world and it's only sunday nights on the E! Network! Aaaaaaaah!

Do you wanna know what I see when I look in that ring? Honestly? A bunch of cheap, interchangable, expandable, useless women. Women who have turned to reality television 'cause they just weren't gifted enough to be actresses and they just weren't talented enought to be champion. I have done more in one year than all of you have done in your entire collective careers. I have saved your divas division, I have shattered glass ceilings, I have broken down doors. Why? So a bunch of ungrateful, stiff, plastic mannequinns can walk on through without even as much as a thank you? You guys can't even walk backstage and shake my hand and looking me in the eye because you know that I worked my entire life to get here. I gave my life to this and you were just handed fiftteen minutes of fame. I didn't get here because I was cute or because I came from some famous wrestling family or because I sucked...up to the right people. I got here because I am good. I earned this championship and you know what? No matter how many red carpets you guys wanna walk in your four thousand dollar ridiculous heels you will never be able to lace up my Chuck Taylors.

You are all worthless excuses for women and you will never be able to touch me. And that is reality."

[0.0] "The worst parts of the divas era are all present here. Every women's promo during this time can be boiled down to "I'm hotter tee hee". Here AJ whines about high heels, cosmetic surgery and for some extra irony says she wasn't hired because she's cute and then claims she's a real trailblazer. Never mind that she's a shitty worker and has an intensely loyal fanboy following that helps boost her profile. I think she was supposed to be the babyface at the time although admittedly I don't remember and I don't hate myself enough to sit through this crap again. This is teen melodrama nonsense that belongs in a class about what not to do."

[10.0] "The greatest promo a women's wrestler has ever gave. The Pipe Bombshell is a master piece & added juice to the women's division that really needed it, set the path for multiple feuds in one night which is rare too see"

[0.0] "What did this promo achieve other than riling up a toxic section of fans? The most ironic part is that she was not top 3 wrestlers in this segment, nor was she more integral to the women's wrestling landscape than any of these women have been, partly because of the net negative promo, partly because most of these women had better careers with or without this existing. You will not see a woman dressing down her fellow wrestlers, none of whom had a microphone or ability to out perform her as they did so often in the ring, on any women's revolution compilations or playlists. AJ does not deserve to be considered apart of this movement and should be ashamed of this. Making a comment about these women wearing heels while she wears Converse was cringe at the time and has aged about as well as anything else in this promo. It says a lot about a person if they enjoy this..."

AJ Lee's character (and hopefully not how she really is) was a pathetic pick me, slut shaming performers who mostly wound up being as good or surpassing her. Just completely burying half the division for no reason, this would have sucked even if every single thing she said was true...and it wasn't."

[10.0] "It's not a secret that many many fans don't know how bad the WWE used to be, because they only look at the big feuds like Punk vs Cena, they look at who has been champions and then they act like everything was better at this stage of the PG Era. This is probably the cause for some of the bad reviews here. Following the rise of Paige on NXT this was the next step of the women's revolution. Fans didn't all of a sudden want serious women's wrestling, that's just a lunatic vision of Stephanie McMahon. The divas here were reduced to their Total Divas presence. This does not only mean that good wrestlers like Natty were limited, but women like the Bellas didn't need anything else but their looks. AJ is not acting like she's not pretty or something. She talks about the women who stole the spot-light of other passionate wrestling-loving women like for example Gail Kim because all they had was their look. If you succeed only because of this sexist system, you are NOT a victim of the sexist system. This promo by AJ is not about giving women success just because they're women. So the wanna-be feminists who are happy as long as what they see on the TV is just any woman won't understand it. AJ Lee wanted the people and the company to value hard-work, dedication and the actual skill over the gender. And at least she reached the people at this moment. Before Becky showed her star-power the WWE still valued the family, the look and the "connections" more than what women could do as wrestlers. And then you're acting like she was not passionate, because she left this kind of a wrestling business?"

[1.0] "I could write an essay, but this promo, while eloquently and passionately delivered, is sexist drivel. A lot of the women that AJ cut this promo on went on to have matches as good as hers. Even if there was more merit to her points, she is criticizing victims of a sexist system for conforming to it to make their wage. Which is pretty hypocritical when you are also doing that. In all honesty, her "just one of the guys"/"manic pixie dream girl" character was popular because it titillated men. Also slut-shame-y. And weird. Spreading the idea that pretty women tend to sleep their way to the top is a pretty grim prejudice to instill in the young audience of Monday Night Raw."
divafanatic wrote on 29.09.2017:
[5.0] "The only reason this promo is so loved is because AJ was the only one who got to talk (meaning others couldn't outshine her, or clap back), and because it was cut on Total Divas. She had much better and more personal promos during her feud with Kaitlyn, which are of course overlooked because they weren't cut on IWC's common enemy. In the hindsight, it's funny how she claimed she was so passionate and what not and she retired before all of them, even Eva and Cameron. She talked too much, and made herself look like a hypocrite."

The delivery was well done and polished, with the right conviction and emotion interjected into it. An excellent promo all around."
