[1.0] "Never as good as it should have been, this rivalry seems iconic but is riddled with misfires when you examine it closely. After WWF foolishly abandoned the feud it was picked up in WCW, but was incredibly one sided as Hogan rolled over Flair time and time again. Their later matches became painful to watch, riddled with bad booking, confusing stipulations, contrived situations, and further lopsided matches. This should have been an all time great feud but unfortunately it offers very little on close examination."
[6.0] "Now, first and foremost, these two legends belong on the Mount Rushmore of Wrestling with Bruno and Andre. For their rivalry, they were great on the mic, each taking the other's catch phrase. The in ring stuff really showed off Hogan's vastly under rated mat skills, we knew Ric had them, but when Hogan reversed the Figure 4, it was indeed quite a moment. That being said, they did not have chemistry inside the ring except for moments. Flair's eye poke to regain momentum notwithstanding, this was not the best showing for Flair. Hogan was larger than life and Flair's style was to lie on the ground most of the match applying a hammerlock etc. You could get away with that stuff vs. Sting but not Hogan. To be honest, Ric just couldn't keep up, as much as I love their collective works, I don't revisit this match up often."
[7.0] "Starpowertechnisch war dieses Duell definitiv nicht zu überbieten. Man hat jedoch 91/92 zu wenig draus gemacht und auch in späteren Wiederholungen nicht gerade optimal gebookt."
