They always had great chemistry, both were in their primes and it felt refreshing to see feud without babyface/ heel dynamics for once. Their WrestleMania match was great, Last man standing match was also great, they extended the feud until November and had awesome, heavily underrated Hell in A Cell match. Despite Batista technically winning the feud, Taker moved into feud with Edge and than main evented next WrestleMania. I guess Undertaker won in the end"
[7.0] "A great rivalry that took place mostly in 2007 and really helped define that year in WWE. A breakout feud for both guys as I don't think anyone believed they could churn out great match after great match but they did. One of the best hoss feuds WWE has done."

[9.0] "I actually think there were at least four great matches between both, and although they do follow the WWE big man formula, that is not necessarily, inherently bad. This understanding is excessively panned over the Internet and leaves little room for the appreciation it deserves. There is a universe of difference between any Batista vs. Undertaker match against, say, The Great Khali vs. Big Show. True, there is a pinch of nostalgia, given that this was one of my personal favorite feuds that defined me as a wrestling fan back in the day, but the earlier part of this rivalry is still substantially better than later iterations in 2009. A special point worth mentioning is Edge intruding the rivalry so neither Batista nor Undertaker had to turn heel as the Canadian now filled that spot. Furthermore, Edge's presence spawned two separate rivalries against both men, with the one against Undertaker being the better (but that better be commented on its respective page)."
[3.0] "Zero good matches. Every match was the usual big man WWE Match. Both guys collided in a clash of titans and build the feud around hitting big moves, kicking out of them and messy finishes. I'm sure it impressed some but not me. Wasn't impressed at all. Taker can do so much better. Batista was very good in his "prime" so this is probably his best."

[7.0] "Gute Arbeit, die hier geleistet wurde, um eine große Story aufzubauen. Allerdings fehlte mir persönlich ab und zu mal etwas an Story, es ging immer nur um den Titel. Dafür lieferten sie sich sehr tolle Matches zum Teil, denke man an die unglaublichen Wrestlemanias, was beide in einem phänomenalen Licht erscheinen lies und auch zweimal (aus meiner Sicht) großartig endete. Manche Matches waren auch nur Durchschnitt, aber ok, nicht jedes Match in einer Fehde kann ein Feuerwerk sein, aber was mich noch stört ist, dass die Fehde gegen Ende so lang gezogen wirkte: Noch ein Match... und noch ein Match... , ... ! Trotz der Wrestlingveranlagung haben sie doch mehr draus gemacht, als ich mir vorgestellt hätte, also noch mal einen kleinen Pluspunkt für Phenom vs. Animal!"
[6.0] "Sicherlich war Batista vs The Undertaker die Auseinandersetzung des jahres 2007, aber das war es dann auch. Insbesondere der Undertaker hatte ein halbes Dutzend an besseren Rivalitäten."
[4.0] "Sie hatten diese eine große Titelfehde, die auch wirklich nicht schlecht war, aber als große Rivalität würde ich diese nicht einstufen. Denk ich an die großen Rivalen Batistas, so ist der erste Name, der einem einfällt, Triple H und versuche ich das selbe beim Undertaker, so sind es wohl Kane und Mankind. Ich kann mir einfach nicht vorstellen, dass mich Jim Ross in drei Jahren noch einmal daran erinnern wird, was für eine bewegte Vergangenheit denn Batista und der Taker miteinander auch haben."
