[1.0] "its interesting, on paper this wouldn't be *too* bad: two wrestlers at the uppermost tier of the company (in terms of how they've been pushed) who are both big-strong-scary guys (Vince guys). but the majority of this feud exists in the worse halves of their careers. brock was increasingly clocked out after 2015-2016 or so, and reigns hadn't quite found his footing yet as a solo wrestler. the first match is good, however overshadowed by seth freakin's cash-in, but after that? eeeehhhh. diminishing returns. their final summerslam match was alright i suppose, but everything in between ranged from boring to laughable to miserable."
[1.0] "1 point for the only good match they ever had, Wrestlemania 31. I don't give a good god damn how highly rated the 2022 last man standing match is, I hated it because by then that rivalry was worn the fuck out."
[3.0] "I'm actually surprised that this rivalry is rated quite low here, but I can understand why. When it first started, it was quite good (except for that segment where they both had a tug of war with the WWE Championship), they had a good match at 'Mania, and overall it had some solid booking. Then came 2018 and that's when shit hit the fan. They had an alright build-up leading up to their match at WrestleMania 34, but my god that match was nothing more than a glorified, 15-minute bathroom break. No wonder a bunch of fans left the arena as the match was ongoing. Their two other matches afterwards were slightly better, but not by a large amount. Of course, that Steel Cage Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble was probably one of the prime examples of Vince being out of touch, and I agree that Roman had that match won. For the first time, I was actually intrigued in their feud when Lesnar came back to the WWE, knowing that the both of them had their own change in character. The Crown Jewel 2021 match was actually pretty decent IMO. The outcome of their WrestleMania 38 title vs. title match at WrestleMania 38 didn't really surprise me. When their feud was re-kindled in June, I was just like "okay, this is getting redundant, this feud needs to end already", but their match at SummerSlam actually exceeded my expectations. So at the end of the day, the rivalry was not bad, but not good either."
[2.0] "It's disappointing because the first serial in the volume of matches, and their final encounter are easily their best. Everything between it? This rivalry is quite literally a shit sandwich. Heavily forced upon the fans, and only dragged out for as long as it did because of VKM desperately wanting to spite the fans by shoving these two down our throats. It becomes especially disappointing when you look at the body of work from the two individuals during this rivalry, and realize they had better matches with pretty much everyone else, respectively. All around awful time."
[0.0] "One of the most forced rivalries in WWE history. This was forced down fans throats for years and they've only really had 2 good matches while the rest were garbage. These guys had so many main event matches with each other it's crazy"
[2.0] "This rivalry killed main events in WWE for so long, with their best matches against each other being their first and last matches. A lot of their matches were either just boring, of absolutely horrendous and a pain to watch, whether either one of them is a face or heel they still don't work well together. Overall this rivalry was one of my least favorite in WWEs long history."
[6.0] "A pretty important confrontation for both. Brock Lesnar, who returned to WWE, beat John Cena only on the secondary try and it was after two years since he lost Cena at Extreme Rules, when suddenly a new rising star, Roman Reigns, stood in his place. Probably, many understood that they would place a huge bet on Roman. Brock became a real test for Roman, although they did not have an outstanding feud as such. It was important for both Brock and Roman to cross paths in the ring, where the heat would already be unfolding when it came to physical violence. It took Roman three years to defeat Lesnar and win the most difficult title victory in his life. But with SummerSlam 2021, their confrontation reached a new level, with intrigue and drama. The involvement of two world titles in the confrontation only increased the degree, and the segments in which Brock tried to kill The Bloodline with the help of transport backstage were something. However, the match at Wrestlemania 38 disappointed me. For me personally the worst of all the matches they've had. The SummerSlam 2022 match is the best, there is no doubt. Roman Reigns solidified himself as one of the greatest champions in the world thanks to Brock Lesnar as he was his toughest opponent ever, even tougher than Seth Rollins"
[1.0] "This rivalry was just lets put 2 big name guys together and it did not work out at all. They only had 1 good match together imo and that was the summerslam last man standing match ever other match stunk and the stories werent very good either. The only really memorable thing from this fued was from a guy who isnt even mentioned Seth cashing in."
[5.0] "I understand why people have rated this feud so low but personally I think since Roman became the tribal chief this feud improved dramatically I do think it overan its welcome which is why my score isn't higher. If this feud had ended prior to Roman's heel turn I dread to know what the rating of this feud could be."
[3.0] "I totally understand why the Roman Vs Brock feud can be so heavily panned and the mains why is that the booking and storytelling particularly during their WrestleMania clashes were just absolutely atrocious, the feud itself was far too overplayed and they only had two one on one matches that worth watching, the first match at WrestleMania 31 (before Seth Rollins' cash in turning it to a triple threat) and the their last ever match at SummerSlam (2022)."
[3.0] "The reason why this rivalry is so looked down upon is almost entirely because of the booking. The majority of the time, Roman Reigns was the epitome of every problem in WWE, especially with how they pushed certain wrestlers. Roman Reigns was being made a top guy when no one really wanted him to be, and this was a problem up until his heel turn. He was constantly booked in the main event, constantly in the world title picture, even when the majority wanted someone else, like Daniel Bryan, or Dean Ambrose. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar was already a polarizing figure, someone who could put in some excellent matches if he really cared, but if he didn't, it was absolute boredom and burials. Not to mention, there was the problem with him almost never defending or even appearing with his world belt, especially his Universal Title reign. To summarize, both guys were polarizing in popularity at best, and a prime example of WWE trying to feed a storyline that almost no one wanted. Now, there were some good matches. Notable ones being WrestleMania 31 and SummerSlam 2022, when everything just seemed to hit perfectly, and obviously with the former having some absolute genius booking strategy, avoiding the the title change that no one wanted, while still giving someone who absolutely deserved it. Then there are the dreadful ones, more specifically the other WrestleMania matches. Let's not forget the choice of having Brock Lesnar retain at WrestleMania 34, which was strangely the more wrong choice between the two. Overall, you can tell they both tried to do something good with what they were given, and when the stars aligned, there was great chemistry, but this rivalry is certainly more of an example of what was the biggest problem of modern WWE for the longest time."
[3.0] "This feud seemed like it would never end and for the most part, actually isn't good but funnily enough, it gave both men two of the best matches of their careers although a lot of bad stuff is mixed in the middle of the feud as well."
[7.0] "Overall, when you look at how well these two worked together both in their first match and final match at summerslam 2022, however the middle portion of the fued was extremely tedious. Overall, while there was glimmers of awesomeness in between, this fued will primarily be remembered as something that outstayed it's welcome. Regardless, it is still one of the better fueds of the modern era given how when the fued worked, it worked really well."
[3.0] "Two of the most powerful characters from a plot point of view, who have tired many people with their matches, which have become a "returning point". Their last match, at the moment, was one of the best Last man standing matches in WWE history, and overall their matches were mostly good, but this feud seemed endless and occasionally quite weird."
"Obviously in the minority here, but I really did enjoy their rivalry. I'm not gonna try and claim that every match they had was amazing, but they still had some hard-hitting bouts that were pretty fun to watch."
[5.0] "I mean theyve been going at it for years and the only top match theyve ever had was summerslam 2022, maybe wm31 but thats heavily carried by Rollins cashing in"
[6.0] "The rivalry isn't that bad guys. It isn't that good either. Overbooked, prolonged, and I mean come on, 3 wrestlemania main events. Outrageous. So many terrible spot fest matches, but also a few great matches like WM 31 main event and the Summerslam 2022 match. THe rivalry itself isn't awful though,"
[5.0] "I am surprised by such a low rating of this competition. In my opinion it is difficult to assess. Reigns and Lesnar could give good fights - for example WrestleMania 31 and SummerSlam 2022, but they could also give much worse. The problem is that we get their fights when WWE has no idea who should fight for the main championship, so the matching could get bored. But the positive thing is that each of their struggles is always emotional, it is impossible to be indifferent to it. Despite ambivalent feelings, I like their competition, although I hope that the fight against this year's SummerSlam was the final."
[3.0] "Very hard rivalry to rate. Their matches at Summerslam 2021 and Wrestlemania 31 were tremendous, but the other ones were forgettable and very weak. Kinda great storyline from 2021 to 2022, insanely dragged, but acceptable. However I can't write the same about their fued from 2015 and 2018."
[2.0] "This feud went on for way too long. Brock and Roman's chemistry is lacking and the matches usually didn't match the build. If the matchups up were few and far between it could've been an amazing feud."
[1.0] "You found probably the worst feud in the WWE . This waste 2 main event of mania and also a lot of ppv . Brock was Universal champion for over 500 days because of Roman stupidity."
[8.0] "I hate Brock, I kinda like Roman. It's the essential perfect feud. But unfortunately due to really bad booking it ended up turning into "hey we hate both guys, what do we do? " and Vince really didn't care he just wanted to drive the point across that Roman is strong and will stop at nothing to win the Universal Title. I did enjoy Mania 34 and SummerSlam 2018. And i was extremely happy about Roman's win at SummerSlam."
[0.0] "As feuds goes, it went on too long, but that's what you get when a stubborn and out-of-touch man is determined to force his next handpicked company centrepiece down the throat of the fans. He was even willing to destroy Brock's aura to do it. And it still didn't work. Hence the 0 rating, because what other rating can you give a feud that not only failed in its objective, but actively hurt a top star?"
[1.0] "Wow, what a disaster here ! This rivalry lasted almost as long as the attitude era and it is now still painful to look at. One side is a lazy part timer who only enjoys his paychecks nowadays. The opposite side is one of the most over pushed wrestlers of all time in wrestling and still struggle to get over. I gave 1 because their mania 31 that was a total surprise. However, rollins actually saved that match and that show. Other matches between these 2 were so painfully awful to watch ( with the exception of the ME of Summerslam 17 ). The mania 34 was DUD, spamming fiinishers and big moves. The GR match was the same with even a worse ending. The ME of Summerslam this year was slightly better but not much to talk about with reigns only winning because of lesnar being distracted by braun. The rivalry made Raw main event scene look unbearable and unwatchable for a long time. It made the fans so frustrated and kill their patience. Sorry this was a total failure. Hopefully, it is over now."
