[8.0] "There was obvious potential had they stayed healthy as they was a fun dysfunctional tag team and had a really good match at King of the Ring 97 where you see a good mix of them brawling a hardcore style as well as a really technically sound match. The post Royal Rumble feud they was both in really bad shape after Austin's neck break and Michaels injury in a Casket match so it was very limited because Michaels couldn't wrestle at all and Austin was being brought back in gradually. The Mike Tyson run on the show where he was a DX member before it turned out to have been a ruse at Mania was well done and despite the obvious pain Michaels was in, they still ended up with a memorable Wrestlemania main event that finally got Austin to the top."

[8.0] "This could so easily have been a 10/10 feud if not for HBK's injury in the casket match where he landed awkwardly on the edge of the casket with his back, which would eventually lead to his first retirement. The injury kinda stunted the progression of the feud and led to a pretty disappointing finale of sorts at Wrestlemania, but this was still one of the most important feuds in the early Attitude era."
