[6.0] "Going back and watching SWCW in the early 1980's. 1983: Tully Blanchard had a great heel run as SWCW Champion. The Sheephearders, Adrian Street and Adrian Adonis were excellent heels, they pushed Scott Casey as their big baby face, but he lacked the mic skills and storylines in comparison to other territory champions. Cool seeing a young Rock n' Roll Express and Al Perez."

[8.0] "Joe Blanchard's territory Great lil company built around Scott Casey and Tully Blanchard. Mat wrestling fans will find their solace here and that scores person points. Bigger than many minor leagues at the time but still kinda pretty much the minors. Gino Hernandez had a really fantastic run there. Absolutely outstanding stuff from Dory Jr & Terry Funk in SWCW. This is the company that first showed faith in Ricky Morton. Hacksaw Jim Duggan popped in here in a *very* early incarnation of his character. Tito Santana showed up and won a major tournament. Bob Orton Jr and The Grapplers looked great in Southwest as did Adrian Adonis (speaking of major tournament winners! ). Lots of Bob Sweetan which, eh but ... maybe *you* like him. Manny Fernandez was there being awesome and so was Eric Embry. Not too many big time hot angles but there was always trouble brewing with those first three names mentioned. I also love the abundance of masked wrestlers. The commentary was solid via Steve Stack but was *very* notable for having the dual commentary/interview segments done simultaneously in English and Spanish. Lou Thesz was a figurehead head official of the company and cmon man! We *ALL* love Lou Thesz. Always charming in it's "low rent' presentation. *ahem* I'm a total Scott Casey mark and I adore every moment he's on this - in ring or commentary. Scott Casey was in some ways SWCW's Hogan/Hart/Cena/Dreamer ...Danielson? - their hero, my hero. 7.75 If you're wondering where to watch an abundance of this promotion; if you have a Roku device it's on the Wrestling TV app, for free! The episodes are way out of chronological order but it's worth it anyway."
