[9.0] "Defy is my home indy, so I've attended these shows more than any other promotion. They do a great job balancing bringing in legends, top current talent, and focusing on building around local talents. Most my indy favorites have directly come from appearances in Defy."

[10.0] "Admittedly grading this on a curve because it's in a different category from major companies, but it's definitely a 10 among indie promotions, especially now that they have everything free on Wremix. Their live shows are phenomenal, they pretty expertly balance out bringing in major guest stars with a great homegrown/regional PNW roster instead of just running supercards all the time, the match quality is excellent, they keep expanding, they have incredibly passionate crowds, and their production is top-notch. I don't know what else you could possibly want. They have a legit chance to surpass Impact as they get bigger and become one of the top independent promotions in North America, and it definitely helps that one of their biggest mainstays is Christopher Daniels who has a direct pipeline to AEW."

The way it was structured caused the all but about 20% of the audience who had enough luck to stand to the side to have virtually zero visibility. There were enormous, high-powered lighting arrays pointed directly at the audience from start-to-finish, which made for a two hour show of silhouettes. The organizer was told how bad it was after the first match, acknowledged the problem, but did nothing. Buyer beware: you run the risk of not being able to spectate the show if you attend."

[10.0] "I started going to shows in '19 and haven't missed a Seattle show since. You get big names cycled through but the local names are still featured. The crowd's electric every single time. Hats off to the security guys who bust their ass to keep people safe when stuff spills into the crowd. I've been to massive wrestling shows and smaller wrestling shows, and DEFY hits the perfect balance between the two. There's a reason I don't miss shows. My love of wrestling had died off a long time ago, but DEFY's one of the big things that brought it back. If you're in the PNW and you love wrestling, go to a DEFY show. You won't regret it."

"I can't give a rating because I haven't actually seen a full show (I've only seen random matches here and there), but I like what I've seen so far and am really surprised the company isn't more popular. They have a unique, close-up, cinematic way of filming that almost makes you feel like you're watching a movie. As a wrestling traditionalist, I was iffy on the style at first, but it quickly grew on me and now I think it makes the company stand out in a positive way. Another huge boost for Defy are the rabid fans, who seem to be into everything and give off a similar atmosphere to PWG during their Reseda days. What really put the company on the map, however, was Shane Strickland's excellent run as champion. I honestly think his Defy run is the best stuff I've seen in his career thus far. For newcomers, I would suggest watching his match against Brody King (which is free on Youtube). Lastly, I do have one big criticism of Defy however: The company decided to split their events up into smaller weekly shows called 'Defy Now', which makes it hard to find certain matches. So if you want to find a match from a specific event, you can't just watch that specific event, you have to scroll through dozens of Defy Now episodes until you find the match you wanted."

[9.0] "i see big things from this promotion in the coming years. probably my favorite to watch. the shows are a breeze and and has given a platform to pnw talent such as the american gunz, randy myers, artemis spencer, schaff, cody chhun, etc. hope to see more matches pop up in the matchguide, especially those pertaining to the local talents. such as randy myers vs joey janela, spencer vs fenix, vs strickland, gunz vs violence unlimited, vs mexablood, vs reno scum, vs one percent. all great matches that should be an introduction to those looking forward into getting into defy. also to mention, the production is really good and it feels like you're watching a movie at times."

[10.0] "A relatively young wrestling company. I still feel that Defy is finding its footwork in the world of pro wrestling. However, that doesn't mean that the quality produced by this small company is nothing short of spectacular. Defy has a big future in the world of Indy wrestling and I have not yet encountered a bad show from them. New Edit: Defy has become one the must-watch promotions in recent days. They get a 10/10 for the effort and what they have produced so far. I don't see them slowing down anytime soon, if ever."

[10.0] "DEFY Wrestling is an indie in the barren world of Seattle, where laws make it a bit hard to start a company, but with a combination of great production values, giving chances to NorthWest Pacific Talent, flying in talented wrestlers and a great atmosphere, DEFY Wrestling is already seeming to be a promotion to follow. edit: Several great shows that mix local talents & big stars with a good local community, watch this promotion!"

[10.0] "SO far whilst only having 2 Events, Defy looks to be the best wrestling promotion of the pacific northwest. with great local talent, great fly ins and a great promoter, Defy Looks to be the next "PWG", with it's style of banter and fan interaction. Shane Strickland has worked all the shows so far and seems to be "The Face That Runs The Place" for Defy. If you want Indy Wrestling in the Northwest, Defy is for you."
