1107.07.2022sbg20221.0OH... MY... FUCKING GOD! This promotion was one of THE worst things to happen to professional wrestling. This "promotion" (and I use that term very loosely) served as a catalyst for the most depraved of male fantasies. Also, Joel Gertner deserved WAY better than to be working here. Granted, it was only on commentary, but still. It's ironic that this promotion came along literally the same time that Ring of Honor did. This was like if ECW split in half, with a good half and an evil half. WEW was the evil half. ROH is the good half.
1206.03.2022UWF Rules Enthusiast2.0This promotion barely qualified as wrestling during their early years. In later years, they started having some more frequent attempts at wrestling on their shows. This promotion is easily one of the worst promotions ever, and they are like the complete opposite of what the women's revolution of American wrestling would stand for. There have been some wrestlers with some talent who appeared in WEW shows, but that is not enough to wash away the foul taste this promotion has left behind during its history.

1523.06.20215nicoShuffle1.0I was unfortunate enough to see rather a lot of these "events" this company put out, which were half porn, with pornstars featuring in many skits both in-ring and backstage, and short clips of actual porn shown between certain sections of the shows (European DVD releases at least), and Matches that were just slightly above Backyard Wrestling standards. Most of the "talent" appeared barely trained and were downright dangerous at times. Often Male wrestlers would compete against the Females in mixed competitions, and while they were actually somewhat decent workers, it rather contradicts the whole WEW name (Women's Extreme Wrestling) doesn't it? . There were a handful of somewhat decent female workers in amongst all the non-workers however. The promotion seemed to thrive on shock value, with all the adult content, silly gimmicks, lecherous commentary (and crowd), Man-on-Woman violence, hardcore matches and stupid gimmick matches (Goldfish Deathmatch for example), this combination must have put women's wrestling back at least 20 years. Very very little good things to say about this promotion other than... how did it last so long!

1801.12.2020Resident7.0Decent Women's wrestling promotion. I like Eric Garigulo's commentary from seeing him on CZW videos and DVDs. I know GLOOW has nudity. I haven't seen much nudity in WEW, but the wrestling is ok and a lot of stars came through there.
1905.10.2020SSEighty71.0The 1 point score is only due to some of the gems of women that came through, mostly Mickie James, Mercedes Martinez, Francine, and a couple others I can't remember. Horrible production, terrible gimmicks, mostly eye candy women that couldn't wrestle one bit, and bad commentary that even 1999 Jerry Lawler would be embarrassed of. I have no idea how this company lasted as long as it did. Every bad quality of the early 00s you can think of, this company was full of it.
2021.09.2020HC70.0These shows (at least at the beginning) were 50% actual porn and and Playboy type photoshoots and 50% "wrestling" of which the wrestling was mostly the shitty model wrestling that was popular in the late 90s and 00s in America. Although counter to the names of the show the actual matches contained no nudity as I recall just the porn shoots between matches. Other than Mickie James, ODB, Jazz and Mercedes Martinez who actually were some of the talent who passed through here that actually had some good in ring wrestling ability the roster mainly consisted of then indy wrestlers, fetish wrestlers, models and pornstars. Velvet Sky also passed through here but here work here was mostly the dogshit parts of her TNA run. Most characters are less 1 dimensional than even porn characters in this promotion. The second half of the run of this show they actual tried to focus on wrestling (although nothing great or really good even) but there event names get worse and worse. As well as the comedy by Eric Gargiulo being as edgy as he can.
2223.11.2018DanTalksRasslin1.0A few notable talents passed through WEW - including Alexis Laree (Mickie James), Lucy Furr (Daffney), Talia Madison (Velvet Sky) and Mercedes Martinez. But at the company's beginning the in-ring action was abysmal and the overall product trashy and exploitative, and although it did become a bit more legit later in the promotion's history, it never got to a point where it could compete with contemporaries like SHIMMER. At its best, WEW was a sub-par all-women's ECW knockoff; at its worst it represented the kind of gratuitous dreck that held women's wrestling in the US back by a matter of decades.
2303.02.2016purpletentacle1.0Pisspoor gratuitous nonsense. Velvet Sky, Francine, Annie Social, and Diva Search Contestant and temporary Jimmy Yang valet Amy Zidian worked here! CAN MISS! Can.
