110.04.2025JTI8.0One of the best rosters of any wrestling game. It's a real who's who of wrestlers from the 70's-90's. There are some big names missing (Dusty, Flair, Savage etc.) but A. That was mostly out of the devs' hands as far as likeness ownership, and B. It's more than made up for by the sheer size of the roster and the variety of wrestlers presented. My favorite aspect of the game is career mode, where you must run through a storyline in each of the several US territories and then one final international storyline. Storylines are presented through a series of fully-voiced narrations by each territory's promoter, who are all generic yet enjoyable. Usually they're random, however using certain wrestlers in certain territories unlocks special exclusive storylines (e.g. playing as Jerry Lawler in the southeast has you play a storyline against Andy Kaufman (! )). It's a really cool system and while it does get a little repetitive, the storylines are unique enough to not really drag it down too much. The wrestling gameplay itself is pretty fun, and encourages using different moves through the crowd reaction system. The reversal/combo system is also very unique, with reversals sometimes leading into set-up holds, which combined with comboing moves into pinfalls/submissions can sometimes lead to some really interesting chain wrestling. I'd like to see this system tried again with modern tech. I do have some gripes though. Unlocking things in the store is a pain in the ass, because it requires you to literally gamble your in-game currency. Yes, that's right, you can earn coins winning matches and then just lose them all trying to win a minigame to unlock an arena or something. It's dumb. Also, the soundtrack. Oof. If you love early 00's nu-metal, you're in heaven. Otherwise... maybe it's time to put on Spotify. No idea why they licensed contemporary nu-metal rather than classic rock, etc. that would've come out when these guys were actually wrestling. Also the create-a-legend sucks but in a game where you can play as Mr. Fuji, Mil Mascaras, Kevin von Erich and Killer Kowalski, why are you making CAWs? Oh also special shout-out to the recorded interviews of some of the legends. They're particularly enjoyable, somehow. 7.5 rounded up.

407.12.2023Kash A solid game, even though it doesn't look like it. The Create-A-Wrestler mode isn't as good as the WWE games, but you still could create something good, even doable IRL. The entrances aren't as good also, but the gameplay works and proves playable. The premise of gathering all former legends and square them off one another, is good, and this opus proved the best of them three. If you see this game at a store for not too much, feel free to take it and have a good time.

829.06.20215nicoShuffle7.0This was ok, a little better than 1st one. Had a great soundtrack, amazing roster for the time especially with European version getting the World Of Sport guys. Kinda got stuck on the Career mode somewhere and didn't like the gambling system. The extra added bits of interest being the announcing by Dave Penzer and the shoot interview videos. Good game.
917.02.2021ManiaMan938.0What a great sequel this is and was to the original Legends of Wrestling game. I still play this from time to time with Showdown Legends of Wrestling (III). Very underrated game series and much better than this crappy WWE 2K game since WWE 2K17...

1202.11.2018JEK 19918.0Great game the best in the Legend of Wrestling series. Expanded roster and more new wrestlers. Mangers even wrestle. This game is way better than the 1st one. More selections for different matches, more exciting crowds, more selected arenas, and the moves are exciting. The downfalls are the four way dances and three dances you have to win because there are no eliminations in it. First pin its over. The gambling system is sketchy and its harder to get unlockables. The career mode is great and realistic but too many jobbers.
1330.09.2016SlickDevilSWP8.0I find this game underrated. The best of the series (Showdown would have been if it weren't for all the bugs in it) and an amazing roster. The graphics are cartoony but the gameplay is fine, the matchups fun, and the Career mode is excellent. The gamble system is a head scratcher but overall I enjoyed it for nostalgic reasons.
Definitiv kein Spiel was man zwischendurch spielen kann.

1615.03.2013Leone6.0It was an enormous step up from the previous instalment with a very good roster. But when compared to other wrestling games from the time in terms of graphics and gameplay (Primarily WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth), it was an ordinary game.
