Dear CAGEMATCH Users,

I'd like to shed a light on a pro wrestling event that is being organized by CAGEMATCH's own Davide who is contributing a lot of Japanese Women's Wrestling entires to our database. Davide is very passionate about Joshi Wrestling and wants to share his passion with European Wrestling fans. To reach this goal Davide is hoping for your assistance:

"Hello to everyone here at Cagematch,

I'm Davide, from Italy. Usually I just follow and report show results in between regular job and wrestling training, but right now I'd like to talk about a unique event that will take place on November 9th in Italy. On that day, my home region (in the north-east) will host a pro wrestling show (titled "Rising Slam") featuring 8 women from Japan. Talent involved are from Ice Ribbon and Actwres girl'Z, plus a couple of freelancers.

The show is made in collaboration with the Italian group "Bologna Wrestling Team" (BWT), and with the host of the event, shopping center "Città Fiera". Located near the city of Udine, it also hosted the first ever joshi match in Italy in April 2016. The entrance to the event is free and it will start around 4pm, with of course time to meet the wrestlers after the end of the show.

Among the talent advertised for the event there are of course the most representative athletes of BWT and 8 Japanese wrestlers: the freelancers Makoto (with her manager Matsuzawa, often featured in YMZ) and Rina Yamashita, Beginning's Tae Honma, Color's SAKI, Mari and Misa Matsui as well as Ice Ribbon's Tsukushi and Tequila Saya.

Originally, Giulia was scheduled to appear at the show but due to the recent happenings we had no other choice than pull her out of the show. Tequila Saya, despite her impending retirement (delayed by October 12th's typhoon), kindly offered herself to fill the spot left by her former tag team partner and thanks to the generosity of our sponsor we managed to arrange a ticket almost immediately.

Tough topic: sponsorship. Despite rising in popularity, pro wrestling is still not very well supported by investors and incidents like Giulia's surely does not help. We set up a crowdfunding campaign focused only on the 8 joshi wrestlers advertised for the show in order to cover some expenses like guarantee, transport and accommodation. The campaign is non-profit, all the money gathered will be directly used to pay wrestlers expenses mentioned above and to produce the perks that are available to choose by our contributors. Here is the link for the campaign with all the details, please give it a chance:

Among the perks there are: a t-shirt designed by Mari, a photobook, a DVD of the show, some very nice and unique postcards with illustrations of the eight wrestlers (in Japanese manga style) as well as traditional portraits in limited edition. Items can be shipped worldwide.

With this event we would like to offer Europe the best joshi experience there could be (outside Japan, of course) and make also those who can't attend feel like they gave a big help building this show. Our goal is to strengthen the bridge between Europe and Japan in aspects of pro wrestling and this show is the first step to do so. Please take into consideration to attend our free event if you can and support our crowdfunding campaign by donating and/or sharing it on social networks. Every donation means the world to us, since it is one more step closer to making a dream reality.

Thank You for reading, we hope to see you soon!"
