[10.0] "Would sometimes falter snd not be presented as the monumental achievement it could have been, but lineage wise it's hard to ask for much better. Legends up and down the list. I found ECWTV to be some of the more watchable of the era and the title chase when good was great. This is one of the most revered belts in wrestling for damn good reason. I struggle between a 9 and 10 but I believe it truly earns a 10 given the weight of its entire run."

[7.0] "A bit of a mixed bag in terms of the quality of champion and quality of title matches but overall, it was well booked, mostly had respectfully booked title reigns and following the establishment of ECW as Extreme Championship Wrestling, it was a fairly big deal being the third biggest world title in the USA."

[9.0] "Honestly the ECW championship was a very well-respected championship. The early days had a lot of star power with Muraco, Snuka and Santana holding the belt before ECW went extreme. Picked up a lot of prestige even if not every reign was great. Ton of great feuds and matches over this belt."

[8.0] "ECW's World Heavyweight Championship went out while it was on top, so I will recognize it at its maximum prestige of being the top title for a national league-sized wrestling promotion. It was a decent regional title that promoted itself to a minor league title through the mid-to-late 90's before finishing at its highest level of prestige before the company folded in 2001. In its era, it was the third-most prestigious main event title in the United States."

[9.0] "Like with every long running promotion, there were highs and lows. Though there was nothing strictly wrong with the talent of the '92-'94 period (Tito Santana is one of my wrestling heroes and Sabu, Funk, Douglas, Sandman would all have future reigns) the overall product was pretty uneven at that time. Once branded "Extreme" the title saw excellent longer term runs from Shane Douglas, Raven, Taz and Mike Awesome and briefer reigns from personal favourites like Mikey Whipwreck, Jerry Lynn, Masato Tanaka, Steve Corino, Bam Bam Bigelow and Tommy Dreamer. Areas of the title's history that I don't feel have aged that well are The Sandman's multiple runs and Terry Funk's four months on top. The overall "edgy" presentation haunts the title in some ways too as overbooking and endless references to how gorgeous Francine was (though not in those words) can take away from the matches that top level talent were having for the gold. In terms of my enjoyment of the product, I think the title came to life when Mike Awesome won it and continued up until the final PPV, though Credible was an odd choice to hold it as long as he did considering the roster at that time, he rose to occasion. For all but Terry Funk and some of the Eastern era roster, the ECW World Championship was probably the career high point for all who held it. That's a double edged sword in that we never saw any ECW Champion elevated to the point that they could replicate this level of top guy success post ECW (though Dreamer obviously captured a version of the ECW title in WWE) but that also shows the lightening in a bottle that ECW was able to create with an unlikely roster of stars."

[10.0] "The early days of this title were a little wonky and rough with many past their prime guys holding it. However, once they began transitioning to the Extreme and and Heyman took over creative, it got really good and for a time it was the best booked world title in the States."
