Something that really bothers me in pro wrestling is when 2 titles exist with no difference between them. What is the difference between the International, TNT, and National title, for instance? Nothing? Then why are there 3 of them? 2 must go. And the TNT title was here first so either give this title a unique identity or kill it off. Maybe something like "Only non American wrestlers can challenge for this championship". That could be interesting. I'm just spit balling ideas here."

The spark seems to show up now and again, but a few short reigns hasn't done much for this championship, but when the spark is there, this championship goes toe-to-toe with the AEW World Championship at times. Hopefully, this championship continues to showcase the work rate of AEW for years to come."

The future for this title is currently unclear, though, as it is tied up with the (unnecessary) Continental Title into the inexplicable Unified Title without, seemingly, dissolving the two constituent titles. I'm hoping either the end of the Okada reign, or the next C2, cleans up this mess and released the International Title into the wild."

Ospreay put on bangers after bangers with this belt on the line and also that MJF feud, what an amazing run. then Takeshita won this belt and just decided to be one of the most dominating wrestler in the world. It was so simple yet so beautiful (Also, you see how this belt looks when it's with the NEVER belt? So fucking majestically beautiful.). I'm glad that it will be unified to create potentially the second world title for AEW but damn I'll miss this version of the belt."

It took away it's uniqueness, but not it's value. The matches kept being great and the title reigns were also awesome, everyone who held this belt feels like a legit star."

There were countless incredible matches fought over the belt and in my eyes it became unanimous with bangers. Orange Cassidy's iron man run with tons of defences was great, Konosuke Takeshita's rise to greatness was amplified by his reign, Omega was the perfect choice for its final holder and Will Ospreay is Will Ospreay. I can't wait to see its unification with the Continental Championship at All In."

[7.0] "The AEW International/All-Atlantic Championship from the very beginning has felt like an almost lower midcard belt for some reason. PAC's reign was okay but he was mostly on other promotional shows or a pre-show and his challengers were meh to me. Cassidy's 1st reign was amazing and showed what a true workhorse he was. Moxley's 1st reign was obviously weak even with the injury. Fenix's reign was short and not too sweet. Cassidy's 2nd reign was also pretty good. Strong's reign was mediocre and underwhelming and Ospreay who held it for a short time was a good champion. MJF took it and made it his gimmick as the "American" Championship before dropping it back to Ospreay for another good reign and then...GOOD GOD! Konosuke Takeshita's reign. Where to start. Absolutely amazing from top to bottom. Everything about it, A workhorse reign where 3/4s of the matches went past 4 stars. [***1/2]"

When PAC held it, it was almost exclusively defended in other promotions, which is a gimmick I totally loved. Then Orange Cassidy defended it almost every week in absolute bangers created its prestige that it still has to this day. The whole situation with Moxley/Fenix/Cassidy again sort of detracted, but it wasn't really anybody's fault. Just badly timed injuries and mistakes. Roderick Strong was a good, if a bit too short of a champion. The saga with Ospreay and MJF added a lot of prestige and importance to the title, espeically with MJF as the American Champion and going around the world. Then the current champion Konosuke Takeshita has not had it for too long, but he is a megastar who will use this to elevate himself and the importance of it to new heights."

Exactly what a pro wrestling championship should be. Even though it has periods of flip-flopping and tends to have fluctuating names, the core identity of what this belt represents has never come into question. It is the best championship that is neither a world title nor a gimmick."

[8.0] "Probably the strongest AEW midcard title. Pac's first reign was fine, however I really liked how he went on the indies in the UK to defend it. It embodied the "International" better than any other title run. OC's first reign was phenomenal. Nearly a year of great matches on a weekly basis. OC's arc with the title was magical (going from the laziest man in wrestling to the workhorse champion just for the love of the belt that made him legit). And the reign ended pefectly with OC's injuries getting the best of him and Moxley beating him in one of the best main event in AEW's history. Mox and Fenix's reign were both cut short due to injuries and OC's 2nd title run was meh. Roddy Strong was a good champion. He was able to put the title back on track after a rough final part of 2023. Ospreay winning it made it feel super important. His feud with MJF elevated the title to new heights adding another main event to the lineage of the belt. Ospreay's been a great champ thus far. Can't wait to see what's the future of this title."

Cassidy vs. Moxley should main event All Out and no matter who wins, the stock of this belt only goes up. Edit: absolutely hit a rough patch for a moment due to the Mox injury, but Roddy, MJF, and especially Ospreay have brought it back to being the clear #2 men's belt. Best "midcard" title in the biz, feels more important than some world titles."

The reigns of Moxley and Fenix's reigns were derailed due to injury, Strong's reign was underwhelming but Pac was a great inaugural champ and had a pretty great reign but it was Cassidy that elevated the title into something worth going through hell for particularly during his near-year long first reign which is one of the best mid-card championship reigns in wrestling."

It's a great championship, from it's early roots as the "All Atlantic" championship or whatever, to the epic defenses of the International Championship by Orange Cassidy, to today as the best tool for an All-American Heel - the villain we needed but we just never knew. Not as prestigious as the AEW World Championship, and not as EPIC as the DDT Pro Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship - but still easily the best secondary men's title in the US."

It shows a lack of long-term planning, foresight, judgment, and plan for the title. It started on a comical note as 'All-Atlantic' when the belt design had flags of nations in no way associated with the Atlantic region of the world by anyone with basic geographical knowledge. It is far worse than what boxing organizations get flack for regarding their titles. Hopefully, the title will get some stability in the near future."

There was also that wild incident with Rey Fenix and Jon Moxley. I'm not against comedy in wrestling, but Orange Cassidy is really lame. I don't even get the point of this title, as the name suggests that it should be AEW's secondary or midcard title, but its standing is below the TNT Championship, or at least I think it's supposed to be that way."

Personally I'm not an OC fan at all and I blame that on Tony Khan, his promos are solid but he never gets to cut any. I hope his 2nd reign isn't nearly as long as his first."

Unfortunately, Orange's second reign has stalled with zero character progression from him, which had been teased as a darker, more desperate turn to hang on to the belt. I'd like to see literally anyone else take it at this point. Make it a travelling belt and strap up Takeshita or Vikingo."

Once Cassidys first reign began then it kicked into gear as the new open challenge belt with some decent matches. Then Mox got it and the belt just began a downward spiral from there and now we're doing a shittier reboot of OCs 1st reign. With Continental title now existing as well, where do all these belts fit in?"

The story of OC not feeling like a true champion because he never beat Mox was the kind of storytelling that internet fans pretend doesn't exist in AEW. Orange is one of the real success stories of AEW and therefore so is this title. With names like Moxley and PAC attached to it as well, it is the clear #2 men's belt in AEW."

[9.0] "You could make the claim that this is - currently - the most coveted secondary singles title in AEW (though the TNT title might re-emerge as the winner through a superb Christian/Darby feud). Orange Cassidy's reign was thoroughly enjoyable and a well-executed story. At all points during his reign (including the end), he came out looking like one of AEW's most important wrestlers and one of its best in-ring storytellers. I think they could still do a few things to make this title more "international" (e.g., defend it more regularly outside of the US with promotions that aren't under the AEW umbrella), but that's a minor critique and it's true that PAC, in particular, really championed the "traveling" aspect of the title."
wcwfan wrote on 17.09.2023:
"For a mid-card title I love the way this has been booked, with just three champions in 15 months since the belt's inception and two memorable reigns so far. It would be really cool to see Moxley defend the belt abroad in other promotions which was its original purpose as far as I can tell - that's the only aspect of this belt which has been a slight let down during Orange Cassidy's reign as far as I know. All in all, a great addition to AEW's titles which I wasn't expecting to say when it was introduced."
WrestlingBull wrote on 14.09.2023:

It has been the exact same thing for over a year, random matches with no build up against people with no momentum with only once in a while a storyline that last three weeks. I'm sorry but this does absolutely nothing for me. A title becomes prestigious by mutliple factors, not by only decent random defenses every two weeks. They have a massive roster so a massive range of possibilities and yet it is the same thing over and over again. And I'm not even talking about building Cassidy for 326 days just to have him lose to Moxley of all people instead of building someone new and fresh."

[9.0] "I think that the AEW International Championship is great. It is meant to be AEW's version of the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Notice how the words "Inter-continental" and "Inter-national" sound similar? Orange Cassidy is on the run of his life with this title. I am very surprised to see him be chosen for the job, based on his character presentation. He continues to have great match after great match to elevate the value & prestige of this championship and get this title over as the "Workhorse Title". The thing is, Orange Cassidy's character does not denote "Workhorse", as he is seen as the exact opposite. So there is some funny irony there, as I think that is the intention. What this title needs is a real MOTYC to be fought over it, as that would elevate this title to another level. The AEW World Title had MJF/Bryan in a 60 Minute Ironman match, Kenny/Hangman, & Hangman/Bryan. The AEW World Tag Team Titles had Kenny & Hangman vs. Young Bucks, Young Bucks/FTR, & Young Bucks/Lucha Bros in a Steel Cage. Even the AEW Trios Titles had The Elite/Hangman & Dark Order, and The Elite/House of Black. The AEW Women's Title also had Jamie/Shida. What absolutely CANNOT happen is that the International Title ends up like the TNT Title (Hot potatoed garbage). That is a major No-No. UPDATED: The AEW International Title finally got the MOTYC that it needed thanks to the bloody war between Mox/Orange at All Out 2023."

PAC had a good little run, defending the title in Ireland & England but he was defeated far too soon. OC's reign as All Atlantic Champ has been very disappointing. The whole purpose of this belt was for it to be defended internationally and gain new eyes, yet all of his defenses have occurred on Dynamite/Rampage. Not to mention, most of the talent involved are AMERICAN. I believe talent such as Kenny Omega, Takeshita and Bandido could really help bring prestige to this championship. This title seems to have no real identity as of now but with the new name change to "AEW International Championship", hopefully things start to turn around for the better. The initial idea with PAC as a touring champion was a fair idea but that concept didn't last long for various reasons and then it has just pivoted into the ORANGEWINSLOL belt for reasons only Tony Khan is privvy to. It's the same thing week after week but it doesn't feel important because there's no rules to distinguish it as a weekly defended championship like a TV title so it's just in a holding pattern of waiting for the booking to pull the trigger on a title change, and no one will really care when it happens anyway because every other person in the company already has a belt."

Orange Cassidy is being booked like an invincible god as champion and it's incredibly stale. The only defense of this belt I have any significant recollection of is Cassidy VS Jeff Jarrett because it had SOME semblance of a build up and a legitimate chance of Jarrett winning.
