The ups? Becky Lynch as the first championship, the reign of Bayley, Great champions like Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and the aforementioned Becky Lynch and Bayley. Some of those ups definitely come with downs. Those downs being Carmella's reign, Ronda's reigns, and the bad booking of the last year and a half with Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. This championship definitely has good history, but some of those lows really drag this title down a lot. |

She's only defended it against three people in 5 months, with more disappointing matches like the Steel Cage and Bad Blood match. Rhea's reign consisted of really shoddy title defenses apart from Elimination Chamber and WM40, with her bringing prestige via her storylines and aura as a wrestler and her reliability as a storyteller and in-ring psychologist. In history, this has been the Charlotte title, her bringing really good matches, but way too many reigns that some lasted at minimum 5 days. Really weird lineage that doesn't seem to be on track to get better as the end goal right now is for Rhea to win it again at survivor series with no other top contender in the division other than Liv unless Becky or Charlotte comes back. |
