[6.0] "In retrospect, Steve Richards did a good job of being a fighting champion for a promotion that could barely run shows. The initial tournament was really good and the promise of defenses against Raven, Sabu and Hawx were promising but it didn't work out. Richards was active with the title though, defending in Germany, Florida and the Tri-State area though his most high profile opponent outside Steve Corino (his lone Extreme Rising booked defense) was probably Maxwell Chicago. Later in the reign things became muddier too due to an unofficial title change with Luke Hawx and then Matt Hardy too. Could have been something unique and special if the burden hadn't been exclusively on the champion."

[10.0] "Stevie has carried this belt well. Just wish Extreme Rising could keep up with him and actually book him some good title defenses, though the cancellations haven't really been their fault. Still, I'd like to see more of this belt and Stevie as champion. I hope he makes it through the April/May shows with the belt and moves onto some better, younger competition."
