The sad thing is is that this would have been an incredible idea several years earlier in WCW when they had the greatest cruiserweights in the world selling tickets for them."

Just imagine if those belts had been created three years earlier, and those weekly cruiserweight six-mans could lead to bigger tag bouts? Or if WCW had stayed alive, and the revitalized division we were beginning to see before the company closed down, had some more stuff to fight for and reason to focus on them? It could've been so god damn good... Buuut instead the (crappy looking) belts were around for a week and some change, and then the company died. Bummer."

I could have seen Air Raid & The Jung Dragons as contenders. 1st champs... ? lost them immediately to Kidman & Rey - who presumably would have been great champs, as they held the other Tag belts before, but we never would have known. Another thing... Horrible design of the championships! absolutely horrible."

Unfortunately, by the time the belts were introduced WCW's days were so numbered that, once the inaugural champions were crowned, there would only ever be one more match fought for them before they disappeared with WCW's closure."
