[7.0] "Hook has dragged them down. But I massively enjoyed the trio of Joe, Shibata & Hobbs. Three completely different wrestlers that worked really well together."
[5.0] "They've declined so much ever since Full Gear. Their matches aren't nearly as exciting and they just don't come out as charismatic as they used to, which isn't surprising. Ever since Samoa Joe got hurt they've been a total joke. Hook being the interm leader of the group is hilarious."

[4.0] "Cool in concept, utter failure in execution. Everything they do feels disappointing. They aren't even particularly threatening despite every member (besides hook) being a monster."

[8.0] "For the last few years, there really hasn't been a stable that has seemed... natural. Blackpool Combat Club is the last I can recall that felt like a natural pairing that was meant to be. That being said, they've been lost in trying to naturally ease a group into main television, and with that comes some of the most odd pairings on television. For example, the Conglomeration was literally just guys being guys, and it ended up working so well for no reason. The Opps is another one of these factions. There is absolutely no reason that Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and HOOK should be a team, but my god do they work so well with each other. The segments in the back with Shibata holding the camera and Joe/HOOK beating some team up in their locker room are some of the most entertaining segments weekly. In the ring obviously these guys can work, but their chemistry is very solid for being three guys thrown into a group together."

[6.0] "They certainly have potential, but right now they are just guys in a group, will need to see a bit more story before I can go any higher"

[8.0] "The Opps is a cool stable composed of 2 great wrestlers and one solid one. Samoa Joe, Shibata and HOOk have great chemistry as characters that come across really well in promos and backstage segments. The backstage segments really have a Tarantino feel to them."

[7.0] "The fact they're called the Opps made me immediately invested with this trio! I already liked the idea of seasoned veterans like Shibata & Joe mentoring their pupil, Hook in the art of striking, submission, and essentially whooping ass! Their resurgence in the trio division adds another layer of danger which can't wait to see them hold the trios title and the numerous dream bout ahead."

[7.0] "For now I'll give this a 7 as for a long while these 3 men have been together before their group christening, and it has been solid story telling with their current rivalry with The Patriarch. The only thing holding this group back form a current higher rating is the fact that Katsuyori Shibata i felt has not contributed enough to the groups overall story and purpose outside of some on again off again beef with Joe, maybe like some stuff with Konuske Takeshta, but outside of that he needs to provide more story in order to help the group improve. However, every time they wrestle it's always a solid match, as everyone really plays up to their roles very well as their story continues, I will watch with interest."
