[10.0] "The bloodline undoubtedly saved WWE from getting even worse than it was in 2019. Roman Reigns and the Usos had great reigns with their titles and produced some of the best stories in modern day WWE with the likes of Sami, Cody, The Rock, Drew McIntyre etc. One of my favorite factions of all time."

[2.0] "The Bloodline was one of the many reasons I started following WWE much less over the years. Just could not at all get into these guys and the in-ring promos went obnoxiously long. And speaking of long, it felt like every Roman Reigns match in this era HAD to go 30+ minutes despite the matches being at a snail's pace. I thought the pay-off at Wrestlemania 40 was wonderful but from 2021-2024 I lost an insane amount of interest in WWE because Reigns, The Usos and especially Solo Sikoa just aren't that entertaining, imo. I would even say that I enjoyed babyface 2016 Roman Reigns that was having bangers with AJ Styles a million times more than this Tribal Chief character."

At this point the actual smart people have just given up on the Bloodline crap and rightfully so. Merchandise owners don't wanna step on the brakes and think for a while that the whole thing has started to stink. No one- literally no one I know has said to me that they are loving the Bloodline story going on in 2025 or 2024 for that matter. And the more they carry on this shiitt the more resent grows for the storyline overall. They are just butchering the product at this point."

[7.0] "Very good. Months of nothing and mid interrupted by some incredible high points. I can't give it any more than an 7. The payoffs were amazing, but 4 years and Roman was only around for maybe 25-30% of it. Months of the top champion being gone off weekly tv only. WrestleMania 40 and Sami elevate this faction a lot. When like 2/3rds of a 4 year long story are mid or nothing happened, the faction can't be a 10. There was just so much nothing. Long periods of nothing followed by uninteresting stories. Sami saved the group from being too boring for TV. Cody being a white hot babyface carried the group to the finish line. Still led to some all-time moments, still a lot of great matches, just not anything better than good at the end of it all."

[10.0] "The OG Bloodline, Roman Reigns' Bloodline is without question, one of, if not, the greatest stables ever in professional wrestling. It changed the careers of everyone involved with the Uso's with their record setting reign as undisputed tag champions and mostly Roman Reigns as the Head of the Table and Tribal Chief with his record shattering reign as Undisputed WWE Universal and giving him the proper character work that he needed to truly be seen as WWE's top poster boy after John Cena in the eyes of the fans and everything else from the group's formation, most of the rivalries they had, the involvement of Sami Zayn, to the introduction of The Rock as the Final Boss, to Reigns' rivalry with Cody Rhodes were all some of the best storytelling WWE had ever done not just in recent memory, but of all time. There were a good few frustrations to be had with it, especially during the groups final full year on top between WWE WrestleMania 39 (2023) and 40 (2024), but the Bloodline will always be one of the all time best and the main thing that forever changed WWE both as business and product on TV."

[6.0] "There's no arguing with the financial impact of the Bloodline on ratings and merch sales, and on paper it was nice to have a heel faction that felt like a throwback to '70s and '80s style character work with a lazy heel champion. But there was always a contradiction in having Roman be an all-talk, no-walk heel champ while also being treated even by others as genuinely an intimidating and unstoppable force, and were it not for the desperately needed infusion of Sami Zayn whose in-ring and promo storytelling not only buoyed the group but finally gave direction for the other wrestlers, this would have been an unbearable storyline. As it was, it still wore out its welcome long before Mania 40, and having to split focus between Jey's and Cody's arcs as budding antagonists to Roman ended up shortchanging both even if both got over because of it."

[10.0] "WWE had fallen out of favor for me in a big way prior to the Bloodline saga taking off. The Bloodline story might be the number one thing that really gave my WWE fandom the shot-in-the-arm that it needed. Roman was a terrible babyface prior to this & turning him heel saved him for me. The dynamic with Sami throughout the run was emotional & nuanced. The Usos development worked really well. One negative I will point to is how Roman's matches from an in ring point of view could have been better & them all ending with interference got very old towards the end. But the pros greatly outweigh any of the negatives."

[5.0] "I hate The Bloodline. It was fun indeed but only for a few weeks. And that's only because of Sami Zayn. This is a clan that ruined the WWE for 3 years. For 3 years it was absolutely the same thing and I don't understand how people can be fans of that. They hardly have any memorable trio or more matches. It was a clan just to do promos and intervene in matches always in the same way, it's a symbol of mediocrity. I often hear people say they're the greatest group ever, but honestly, they're not even Top 5 in WWE alone. I originally rated it 4/10 but I've gone up to 5/10 because I'm an objective person despite my anger."

Roman was the leader, The Tribal Chief; Jimmy and Jey were in charge of executing everyone in the Tag Team division; Sami was comic relief, who delivered the laughs; Paul was the manager, the spokesman for the whole group. Everything worked perfectly. I love it."

There's a lot to be said about the more repetitive and drawn-out parts of the storyline over the years, especially now that it's been going on for years and years, but this was a magical time for the faction and its members."

[10.0] "First and foremost, they are a first-ballot HOF faction. Moving on from that, a proper indication may never be made since the Bloodline could change around for at least another decade since there are seemingly an infinite amount of routes that the WWE could take with more Samoans from the Anoa'i family joining and the children of current Bloodline members may be stepping up in the distant future. Past fantasy booking, they saved pro-wrestling. Paul Heyman starting by turning Reigns heel, and his promo work as the wiseman since the stable's inception has been vital. Roman Reigns making Jey fall in line after their beautiful HIAC match was the catalyst to some of the best storyline we have seen this century. Roman going in his golden-glove mode against Edge and Daniel Bryan produced one of my most favorite WrestleMania matches of all time. Roman sent Bryan out of WWE to AEW on a great Smackdown match, with Roman beating Edge and John Cena in singles matches that same year. Usos started their legendary 622 day tag team reign whilst becoming Undisputed tag champs sidelining Randy Orton for 18 months. Roman then became Undisputed WWE Universal Champion beating Brock Lesnar in the main event of WM38 in an albeit disappointingly boring match. However, past this is probably some of the Bloodline's best work, as the Honorary Uce Sami Zayn after Solo debuted screwing out Drew McIntyre at CATC out of Roman's title. Sami honestly revitalized this stable with his hilarious promo work adding a new shade of personality to the previously only serious dynamic the Bloodline had. Sami went on arguably his best run leading up to WM39, where he betrayed Roman at Royal Rumble and, with Kevin Owens, beat the Usos in a 5-star classic in the night one main event of WM39. Roman beat Cody Rhodes in the night 2 main event with the help of Solo and this is where the Bloodline Civil War starts. The Usos turn face and Jey pins Roman Reigns at MITB in the tag civil war. Jimmy got injured but then cost Jey at Roman's title in the main event of Summerslam in one of the most confusing and unnecessary heel turns in WWE history. The Bloodline was a shell of its former self as Jey and Sami found success at Monday Night Raw where February 2024 is where stuff picked up when the Rock joined the Bloodline. In the night 1 main event of WM40, the Rock and Roman Reigns beat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the best built up match in WWE history in a really fun match. Cody then finished his story against Roman the next night in the main event of night 2, shattering the stable as a whole. Now, in preparation for WarGames 2024, the OG Bloodline with CM Punk are planning to beat Solo Sikoa's new Bloodline with Bronson Reed next week. The Bloodline are one of the greatest stables of all time at THAT is and undisputed fact."

[10.0] "The Bloodline Saga is really the greatest and most dramatic story that WWE has ever told. It often times feels less like a wrestling story and more like a dramatic series in the vein of The Sopranos or Succession. It has lead to the whole idea of "cinema" in wrestling. This storyline has not only helped legitimise Roman Reigns as truly a once in a lifetime wrestler, but it took Jey and Jimmy Uso into the main event scene. Into believable world and secondary title holders. It had Solo Sikoa become a star almost instantly. Sami Zayn became the hottest thing in wrestling for a while, almost leading to a WWE Championship victory. And the return of The Rock with what I would argue is the best work of his career. The Bloodline has really been influential and changed the landscape of pro wrestling."
Mwrp wrote on 01.11.2024:
[10.0] "The Bloodline storyline initially focused on elevating Roman Reigns, the superstar expected to take John Cenas place as WWEs main face. Despite years of heavy promotion, Reigns hadnt fully lived up to this potential, possibly due to inconsistent booking by Vince McMahon or perhaps because he was pushed too soon. Fans had long been curious about a heel Roman Reigns and were excited at the idea, but McMahon seemed committed to a Cena-like good guy character for WWEs leading man. During the pandemic, and with McMahons temporary absence, Paul Heyman and other booking minds took a bold risk. They introduced Reigns as a villain, or heel, in kayfabe (storyline), pairing him with Heyman as his devils advocate and positioning the already-popular Usos as his loyal sidekicks. It began with a hint of what fans hoped would be the endgame: Main Event Jey Uso challenging his cousin. Together, the Bloodline steamrolled through the roster, so dominant that WWE had to build up challengers to keep the storyline fresh. The endgame seemed near, but with the storylines success, McMahon continued to invest in it. This led to what McMahon envisioned as WWEs biggest main event ever: Roman Reigns versus Brock Lesnar, a match that symbolized two superstars portrayed as larger than WWE itself. McMahon has been building toward this trilogy, a thrilling story for fans. After the Bloodline won, holding nearly every major championship, WWE added a new twist: Sami Zayn, a comedic foil. Zayns presence gave the storyline fresh energy and, in many ways, marked the true beginning of the Bloodline saga. In many respects, the Bloodline is what the NWO was meant to bedone better. Under Triple Hs guidance, the Bloodline has become a self-contained faction with complex, internal drama that drives the story forward. Unlike the NWO, which lost its way, the Bloodline storyline learned from past mistakes, staying balanced and focused. This stable has not only produced memorable matches and moments but has also become a launchpad for talent, pushing stars like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, and Cody Rhodes into the main event scene. The Bloodline storyline has earned more attention than any other, consistently topping merch sales and captivating fans with every interaction between its members. Its a story that thrives on character dynamics, proving that sometimes, all it takes to create iconic moments is letting the characters interact."

They soon held all the gold and reigned over WWE. They then recruited Solo as the enforcer and Sami as an honorary member. Sami was cool with everyone except Jey, but eventually won him over. Sami then left the faction, leading to him and his brother Kevin Owens, taking The Usos tag team titles. The Usos then left Roman and eventually parted ways, with Jimmy coming back to the group. The Rock would come into the faction as Roman would lose his World Championship and both left."

Its particular success comes from its ability to go from accusations of being "stale" to entering a higher dimension of storytelling not once but twice, namely with the addition of Sami Zayn in 2022 and The Rock in 2024. Even at this current writing, with the absence of Roman and the ascension of Solo Sikoa alongside the debut of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, the Bloodline continues to demand a spot on the card, albeit a lower one. EDITED TO ADD: With Cagematch distinguishing the two Bloodline factions, my rating refers to the OG Bloodline."

The faction created the excitement for the members, and elevated its core group, at least to some extent, as well as providing a source of potential story telling for years. There were some rough patches, and many of the key matches were not my cup of tea, but as a revenue draw they're undeniable. Of course the longer a stable exists, the greater the risk of that stable getting watered down. The NWO, the Bullet Club, and perhaps soon the Bloodline. But that's the way of factions that don't go out at their peak, and doesn't really diminish what's been already achieved."

I say that as someone who isn't even a fan of the individual wrestlers (except Zayn), or even a big WWE fan in general, but the Bloodline's influence is impossible to ignore. Not only did they lead to a resurgence in popularity for the WWE, but every single wrestler who has been affiliated with the group, or feuded with the group, became more over during the course of their storyline. Roman Reigns finally became the big star WWE always envisioned him being, Cody Rhodes became a made man in toppling Reigns, Sami Zayn was the most popular wrestler on the roster at one time, and even the Usos became credible main eventers. My only reason for not giving them a 10 is because I personally didn't enjoy their matches (they weren't bad, it's just not the style I prefer watching.) However, from a creative storytelling standpoint, the Bloodline has been WWE's greatest triumph in quite some time."

However, I'd say from SummerSlam 2023 onwards, with Jimmy's betrayal of Jey and Jey's reintroduction to the clan, the Bloodline storyline was really starting to run out of steam. But we're not forgetting that the clan has brought many wrestlers to the fore, the first who inevitably springs to mind is Sami Zayn, but there are also others like Cody Rhodes with his defeat at WrestleMania 39 which enabled him to gain more support from the fans or Jey Uso who is today one of the faces of Raw and even the WWE. Bloodline has had its ups and downs, but above all it has the most developed and intriguing storyline in the company's history."

[5.0] "The Bloodline at one point was one of the best wrestling stables to ever have graced the wrestling world. But it has kept going and going and going and going. It reached its pinnacle with the Sami Zayn storyline and has been decaying ever since. There is a point where the BL just became formulaic. People complain about House of Torture matches. This is the same. Every Bloodline main event it seemed, Roman would be beat but some BL member will bamboozle the dumb face who had not studied history, leading to Roman getting yet another win in his oh too long reign. Roman's departure really highlights how much the stable was just Roman, Heyman, and everyone else. Heyman can keep the stable relevant, but everyone else lacks enough charisma and starpower to be worth a damn. We saw this with the Uso v Uso match in Wrestlemania, both brother have been involved in the upper midcard but have really been floundering to carve a good niche that cannot be described as generic. Time will tell if this turns around, but I rather the Bloodline be retired and more stories emerge than this zombie continues to plod along."

Every Roman Reigns promo as the Tribal Chief is perfectly controlled and must watch television. The usos have a story that's easy to sympathize with: doing the wrong things for the right reasons, or at least in their mind for the right reasons. Solo Sikoa works well as an enforcer and I think he will work well as the leader of the bloodline for the time he is until we find out more about the story that I feel without a doubt is going to be amazing. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa aren't doing much for me right now but I'm sure Paul is cooking."

Solo Sikoa doesnt even have half the skillset to lead a stable, let alone be taken seriously. And the decision to add two guys completely unrelated to the Anoai family just because they are also island boys was awful. Thats like making Paul Heyman actually wrestle just because hes affiliated with them. I think the group was really put on life support at SummerSlam 2023 following Jimmys hideous heel turn, but the final nail was hammered in when WWE began adding completely irrelevant wrestlers to the group. The true Bloodline simply cannot exist without Roman Reigns, but it would have died at that rate anyways."

It's ironic that the faction's promos have been considered cinema as now all of the characters have essentially being flanderized in the worst possible way. In the case of Roman Reigns he's essentially just become someone who's become so weak at this point, he can't do nothing by himself is basically like an addict who needs his fix of bloodline interference just to get by. Paul has essentially become someone who just licks Roman's arse completely while acting like he's a fighting champion when he's been reduced to someone who defends once every blue moon and can't retain without help. Solo has almost completely lost all personality altogether and has just been reduced to an uncharismatic mute. Jimmy just seems to hang about now just because WWE didn't have the balls to end the storyline when it should have ended. Ultimately, while there might be more fonder bloodline memories in retrospect, if things carry on the way they current are then, the faction as a whole might be remembered as a faction that outstayed it's welcome while doubling down on what made people dislike it in the first place."

However, I have to make the argument that because of how sloppy WWE stories tended to be before the Bloodline, the bar was set pretty low, so what they did seemed and still seems a lot greater than it is and was. The storyline has also suffered from Roman beating just about EVERYONE, as well as sort of stunting the momentum that certain guys had (Cesaro, Jey, even Cody to name a few). Simply put, its jumped the shark, and this past moment at Summerslam is probably the best example of it. Im not sure where the story goes from here, but I hope were closer to the end than we think"

The man is insanely pushed beyond comprehension though, which is a major issue when there's so many other guys who deserve the WWE Championship besides him. I'd say the same about the Usos, who have had literally the same damn move-set since their debut. Solo is decent, but needs a TON of improvement. Sami is the only good part, because of how well-rounded he is. Besides Zayn and Sikoa, there's not much to say."

The only difference between face Roman and heel Roman is that he's just an asshole, while years ago he was an asshole booked badly. I never liked the Usos in 9 years. Solo Sikoa is alright, only because he's always with Sami. A great stable in theory, but they lose all the points because they're samoans (how many times does Vince has to push samoans, no matter if they're good or bad') And it's not me hating the main guy. I always liked Cena and he was hated by everybody when I was starting to follow wrestling. You don't have to be the best to be the main guy, but being boring' That's the biggest sin of all"

A great stable needs an amazing feud and they certainly don't have one. Updating my rating six months after first submitting it, gone from 4 to a 6 mainly because the Sami Zayn stuff is very funny and even though I dont watch much WWE the stuff I do see with him entertains me."
