[10.0] "Team Taz may be one of my favorite factions in AEW history! They had great matches and feuds. They helped establish Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks. Taz as a manager was really quite good and was a good promo. The only member who I think did not benefit from this team was Brian Cage. Sadly they were only around for two years and now they're gone. Hopefully someday we'll get a return of this excellent faction as they're missed on AEW TV."

[6.0] "Despite having high-profile wrestlers and commentators, this faction feels like it is weaker than the sum of its parts. The problem is that it is too small to be a heel faction. The core is just a tag-team. If you didn't know Hook was Taz's son, you wouldn't even think he was associated with Team Taz. Also, the "FTW" championship is basically a prop. It is rarely defended, and nobody is expecting it to go outside of Team Taz. Update: the faction has been disbanded. Everyone who was in it has gone onto bigger and better things, so I would say the faction was a success, if its goal was to get Hobbs, Starks, and Hook over."

[3.0] "This faction straight up sucks. There's a lot of talent in this faction that's being underutilized. Starks is boring and I still don't think I'll ever come around to liking him but Powerhouse Hobbs is definitely being wasted here and would be better as a standalone heel or even as a babyface, he doesn't really fit in with this faction. Hook is doing some stupid angle with Danhausen so I won't even speak on that, this faction doesn't have much going for it anymore, and Cage is gone too so what's the point of keeping it around."

Other than their great feud with Sting & Darby Allin, there has been no real reason to care about this faction.UPDATED: Their feud with Swerve in our Glory has put them in a better light as it has been one of the best and most entertaining feuds that AEW has had in 2022. It has in turn elevated their momentum, and makes them look more important."

[10.0] "Team Taz has it all, they have the cocky, flashy guy in Ricky Starks, the big guy in Powerhouse Hobbs, and the young prodigy in HOOK. Taz is a great promo and can help teach this group a lot."

[6.0] "They're always sort of off on their own given the long feuds they've had away from any of the major AEW titles or top stars, but they're a thoroughly enjoyable team. Taz brings great legitimacy as the manager, and his interference is infrequent enough for the team to be effective heels without being grating with a bunch of screwed finishes to their matches. Cage was obviously a bit of a failed cause due to his lack of personality and his rather generic "epic" offence style, so it was the right move for him to be kicked out. Starks has charisma for days, plus he's a damn good in-ring worker whenever he actually gets the opportunity to perform. His and Taz's banter on commentary is great, as they maintain their heel character work while also coming off like genuine mates who are having a great time messing around and insulting others. Hobbs is obviously still a work in progress, but he's already become far more compelling in the monster role for the group compared to Cage, since he already has those gritty facial expressions down and he's been working on making his powerhouse offence even more powerful. With proper booking he could probably become what people imagine Wardlow to already be. Hook is another great work in progress, with an already impressively badass attitude, a unique judo-based offence, and strong lower-level monster booking to ensure he's slowly creeping up the AEW ranks until such time that he's ready for a more serious push. The only thing really holding Team Taz back from being rated higher is one definitive major program, either from them feuding with one of the company's major stars or from any pairing of them getting a decent run with the tag titles. Seeing them brought more into the main AEW fold rather than off having their own feuds in the corners would be great."

[4.0] "One of the most middling factions in AEW and a sure-fire contender for the most underperforming. The only reason they still have the AEW fanbase/audience's benefit of the doubt (well, besides their near-inability to be objectively critical about anything/anyone in or about the promotion) from being treated or regarded as a bunch of losers who choke on every big match they have or are doing absolutely nothing of note despite their potential is the overpraised & hyperbolically gassed up Hook, who atm literally only has 2 short squash matches vs jobbers to his name. Cage is gone and is doing nothing while his wife complains about his card position. Post-Punk match, Hobbs was rolled up by OC in the title eliminator, fell off the rankings and is back on Dark. What the hell is FTW champ Starks (who didn't even get to wrestle Punk) even doing when he's not even injured anymore' Plus most recently, they got Dante as an exciting prospect but all got finnessed by Lio & him in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, so they all look like fools. Y'all really thought Samoa Joe upon release by WWE was gonna hop at his heels to join AEW to save this joke of a faction lmao"

[5.0] "They have had a very stop-start run in AEW thus far. Had promise at first, but they were primarily used to put other guys over. Brian Cage has since left the stable and they have been mostly relegated to YouTube. Ricky Starks especially has all the makings of a massive star but he's hardly been on TV since winning the FTW belt. Hobbs has had some high profile matches that have all ended in him losing. Massively overrated and putting them near some of the top stables in the business is just laughable. Not bad at all but another case of all talk and no bite."
