[5.0] "If only ISIS had got into mediocre wrestling and not Islamic fundamentalism we would have saved a lot of bother in the Middle East. Although these lads commit far worse human rights abuses by taking away Suzukis music in 2025 so now you have to sit through him going through the motions without even singing Kaze Ni Nare."

[8.0] "this is my fav stable in MLW and it can be no.1 stable in MLW, Jacob Fatu carry this team on to the top"

[9.0] "Damn good stable, propaganda videos are still cool, members are fantastic, something different since everyone wants to be a cool heel nowadays. That takeover via fanfic fucking sucked, but that's MLW and its carny promoters over anything Contra has done wrong. Thankfully they've added more members since the company returned, because 3 guys and one injured one taking over a company is ridiculous."

[5.0] "Contra Unit was pretty exciting when they debuted and started laying waste to everyone in MLW. Individually, their members are solid. Jacob Fatu has huge potential, Samael is a solid mouthpiece, and Gotch is solid all-around, although kind of out of place in the group. I haven't seen enough of Kwon to comment on him. But as a group they never really made that much sense -- the wrestlers didn't really seem to fit together, and as the weeks went by and they just kept laying waste, they never really developed much of a motivation or a backstory. Samael would cut promos saying they were "global dealers in violence, " which is a cool tagline but not exactly a backstory. It all just became kind of thin after a while and they lost their mystique as a result. Still solid heels, but nowhere near where they could've been with better booking and more depth to the gimmick & angle. Updating this review months later and finally caught up on Fusion episodes: MLW's attempt to give depth to the angle has just made it sillier. Contra Unit, over time, has developed into something that's supposed to be basically a global terrorism network, with affiliates world-wide. So... they're global terrorists and their target is... the US's fifth largest pro wrestling company? Oh. Okay. Yeah. That's not silly at all."

[9.0] "A dominant stable that cannot fail to impress. Their performance at Battle Riot was simply unforgettable. These guys are just gorgeous"
