506.11.2025KaptainCirk5.0They lasted less than 2 years as an active faction. Dean Ambrose wore the United States title and did fuck all of nothing with it. They had a bunch of ok matches until the Battleground 2013 match with Cody and Dustin and Elimination Chamber 2014 against the Wyatts. What they did in between was forgettable. I thought they were dorks for wearing empty tac vests. Yes, the Big Boss Man did that too and he also looked like a goober.

725.10.2025JLHarman9.0I love The Shield, but as a pure faction, they're a bit overrated. However, the popularity that Seth, Dean, and Roman have enjoyed individually and together is undeniable.

1316.09.2025Leo Muhammad10.0The Shield isn't just another faction -- they're the greatest faction of all time. They redefined what a faction could be, they elevated the business, and they pushed wrestling into a new era. Without The Shield, this industry wouldn't be what it is today believe in the shield.

2305.08.2025Thefair18.0The team was GOATed in all sense until Seth and Roman decided to have their brains auctioned off for money to the worst bidder in WWE. Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, however, pulled a high IQ move and moved the fk on and has given us more compelling stories and memorable matches than the other two. My rating for The Shield as a whole would have taken a hit big time if it weren't for Moxley. He deserves the 8. The other two deserves 5 at best.

2725.07.2025Dirt7.0Great, but overrated. Better as singles wrestlers than they ever were as a stable. Roman was way too green and they had to hide him every match. Mox was still immature in ring and wwe never understood how to book him. Seth was by far the stand out of the group and if it lasted a few more years, it would be a 10. Some stories aren't meant to be 5+ year things, but the shield should have been. With how great each of the 3 men became, a ton of people will retroactively give this group a 10. But again, 2020s Mox, Seth, and Roman were not 2014 Mox, Seth, and Roman. They all had shortcomings at that point, Roman especially. And good booking and decent storylines just isn't enough to elevate The Shield to anything higher than a 7 for me. The fanfiction was better than the actual wwe writing too.

4321.04.2025JackWatchesWrestling10.0Easily the best Trio in WWE's history. Their feuds with The Wyatt Family and Evolution simply prove this. The trio was so good that it is still being talked about in 2025, 11 years after they first broke up. Even their brief reunion stints were entertaining (maybe not as entertaining as their initial run but you can't capture lightning in a bottle twice). 3 massive breakout stars were created in 1 team and that is unparalleled

4509.04.2025JDCH10.0The greatest WWE stable. When they debuted they brought a fast-paced, hard-hitting, flashy style in 6-man Tag Team matches that was sorely needed at the time. The Shield created three main eventers for the next decade and beyond. I don't know if we'll ever see something like this again, especially the part of having three new guys with such insane chemistry.
4609.04.2025TPG10.0The Shield in its prime was the best example of a faction that was able to elevate all of their members. From the second they made their debut at Survivor Series 2012, and going undefeated for over a year. The Shield were one of my favourite stables in the history of wrestling. They had it all: a good walk-on song with a unique entrance by entering through the crowd; their aura that made fans stand out their seats when the music was on; the attire with the vests made them look rather ruthless and badass; each had their own unique dynamic feature in the group: Seth Rollins was the high-flyer who wasn't afraid to get airborne; Dean Ambrose was the brawler technician; and Roman Reigns was the brute powerhouse, or "muscle.". They all managed to make a name for themselves inside and outside the group; obviously, later on in their career, around the 2019 part, they weren't represented as the threat they once were, but personally, that didn't taint their legacy as a stable.

5023.03.2025crs28510.0A perfect example of a stable that elevates all members. All three of these men became world title levels due to the shield (not saying that they all didn't have the potential before, but we see how often WWE missed on guys with similar levels of potential). Had a ton of great matches and feuds during their time together and had good chemistry together.

5628.02.2025Havoc Rave10.0Oh The Shield, a beautiful memory of everything that is fine in this world. Everything was fine, his while, his stories, his whole. They took 3 boys (not very boys, they were not so young) from the FCW and they put them together, the best decision in WWE's story. I can mention many beautiful battles with people like CM Punk, Evolution, The Rhodes, The Bar and many more. You should certainly know them, and if not, you have to meet them.

6210.02.2025zacharymahabir10.0We might never see another stable like The Shield ever again. The likelihood of a reunion seems pretty low for the near future, but the drawing power would be undeniable.
6303.01.2025Rosya9.0My personal choice of the greatest stable. Pretty sad they once lost the idea of struggling for the justice, statring to beat everyone, often for no reason or just because they were faces of the company. And I wish they went on feuding with CM Punk in 2014. To my mind, the story was finished at the wrong time, as well as the story with The Wyatt Family which should've ended at WrestleMania XXX

6810.12.2024Michael2122 10' the greatest stable in the history of WWE. All of them have a special characteristic, Seth , Roman and Ambrose , their matches are fantastics, the mic skills of another level . They are the Marvel of WWE. They were the first stable I have ever seen when I was , a young . I love them, Specialty Roman. Good luck in their careers.

8310.09.2024maven lover9.0With all 3 members being fantastic workers on their own (Well, Reigns was fantastic only during the time of this faction; more on that later), whoever came up with or approved the idea for these 3 to work together should have hopefully been given a hefty raise. Just like a peanut butter, jelly & unripe banana sandwich, this trio just reeked of awesomeness, shared an ineffable chemistry that I miss to this day, & generally speaking, I can't think of a Shield match that was anything short of great. Promos on point, look on point, chemistry strong; this is everything you want in a faction in a world where meaningful factions are quickly becoming a thing of the past IMO.
