[10.0] "The most iconic and legendary family in the history of pro wrestling. Their story is so dramatic that it adds an aura of mystery and curiosity. They have done so much for wrestling and I hope the new generation can do great things."

[9.0] "Of the brothers, Kev was the most athletic, David was the most technical and charismatic, Kerry was the most good looking, Mike was the ultimate underdog and Chris was the most passionate. It's incredible how a couple of young boys ruled an entire state through a long period, but also how this took a tremendous toll on each and everyone of them. Dying at their 20's was heartbreaking, and apart from Chris and David, they wanted to have a piece of the 80's biggest goldust; drugs, which was their main issue! Mike's my age (23 as of this writing) and he just returned from Japan as he suffered from his syndrome and it seems that's the one it hurts on Kevin the most. Kerry reached the biggest heights among them, and still fell at 33 with the struggles of divorce and also the law. It warms me Bret Hart once talked him out of suicide. Chris just wanted it so hard he thought chasing something else would be embarrassing, or just he had a little patience and healed properly, he could have gone so long! Fritz Von Erich left this world with blood on his hands for doing what he did, and when he realized that he tried to murder Kevin for being "gutless to die", he couldn't handle the pressure and ended it all too, leaving the weight of pain to Doris herself."

[10.0] "Tragic story but these guys were exactly what you wanted out of wrestlers. Of course, David, Kerry, and Kevin were the best version and each one had their own distinct personalities. They were all squeaky clean though and watching their interviews and commercials and seeing how wholesome they were make me happy."

[10.0] "God bless The Von Erichs. They were rock stars in Texas. I'm currently watching the World Class promotion from start to finish on the WWE Network on Peacock. They were better than WWE in the early '80s. Kerry was the most marketable, Kevin was the best all-around, Mike was terrible in-ring, David was ok, Chris just didn't have the size. And say what you will about Lance Von Erich. It's perfectly fine revisionist history to say that he wasn't a real Von Erich and he killed the territory, but from my recollection as a kid, he was over like rover and no one really cared about them "exposing" him on TV. Fritz seemed like a petty man. After reading Lance's book, I fully understand why he wouldn't want to stay in a promotion where he was barely scraping by financially and decided to move on. Loved this group of wrestlers."

[10.0] "In Texas fame, they were like Texas' version of The Beatles when it came to pro wrestling. They were total rock stars in their native state. They were all in fantastic shape, especially Kerry he looked like a greek god. They had that 70's/80's long hair going on at the time. All the women who came to the sportatorium couldn't keep their hands or lips off of them. They were the biggest stars of their dad's promotion which was seen as controversial by some at the time, but once the feud with the freebirds started that controversy turned in to a massive success, and they made a ton of money together over a several year time frame. In terms of stables in the territory days, you could argue that they'd be top of the list."

[8.0] "Arguably the greatest wrestling family of all time, the feud they had with the freebirds was probably the hottest storyline going in the 80s, the matches between them were incredible and if outside tragedies did not happen i still believe david and kerry would of been megastars easily"

[10.0] "Despite the tragedy that followed this family, they were probably the most over group in the history of wrestling. They may not have had the exposure that groups in the Hogan era (and later periods) had, but crowds went nuts for the Von Erichs. WCCW was built on these guys."

[10.0] "The Von Erichs were one of the hottest acts going in the 1980's. They dominated World Class Championship Wrestling and much of the south between 1981-1986. Their feud with The Fabulous Freebirds was one of the longest, hottest feuds wrestling has ever seen. Despite all the issues the family had outside the squared circle, The Von Erich family is truly one of the greatest wrestling stables of all-time."
