Owen joining the group was great because his face run went stagnant and he became a lot more agressive in the ring as well. The Rock was looking more and more like a main event star and it was pretty cool seeing D'Lo pick up some momentum where he used a chest protector as a weapon and Godfather started to get over by bringing 'ho's' to the ring. This run was a big step in getting The Rock exactly where he needed to be where he would regularly show great chemistry going against Stone Cold and Triple H and their ongoing feud with DX made for some memorable TV. The only bad thing I can really think of was the disappointing feud they had with ex-leader Faarooq."

[7.0] "After The Rock took over, the new Nation was quite different from the NOD of old. The new Nation had a bigger emphasis on "swagger" under the Rock, and also the hugely successful rebranding of the Godfather. The addition of Owen Hart is super interesting to me, and I personally really like it. Nothing really to write on about the Nation except how The Rock used it as a catapult to huge singles success."

[8.0] "Once the Rock usurped Faarooq for leadership of the Nation, the group took on a different dynamic, focusing more on the "being cool" aspects of their character moreso than the "black militant" aspects. It worked, though - it further helped establish the Rock, D'Lo and Godfather got to develop personas of their own, and Owen Hart was an interesting new addition. Memorably feuded with Steve Austin, DX and Ken Shamrock."
