Barry Windham was definitely the better part of the team because Rotunda while a great technician, was lacking in the personality department. They were together for about a year but when Windham left for Crockett, the US Express fell into that dreaded "New" phase where they put Dan Spivey in Barry's place because hey, tall blonde guy, and the team just jobbed left and right. Eventually Rotunda left for Crockett and that left Spivey to team with some jobber who I can't remember but by that point the US Express was a pathetic shell of what Windham and Rontunda were in 85. |

I guess you could also say that this was Barry's only good run in the Federation. Both IRS and Windham really had good chemistry together and made the magic work, as they were extremely over with the New York crowd. However, when Windham left in 1985, he was replaced by Danny Spivey and the magic just faded away. They were also involved in the first WrestleMania Tag Team Championship match. |
