[8.0] "One of the most over teams of all time, in the 80s the Rock n Roll express was getting Hogan and Road Warrior level pops. The matches were pretty decent as well, with them and the Midnight Express or the Minnesota Wrecking Crew having some of the better tag team matches back then."

[10.0] "A team that did everything right. Amazing timing with their tandem offense and had a formula that worked well. Morton was the much better talker and seller and if he were selfish would likely have been a major single's star. I respect his loyalty to Robert Gibson."

It's been awhile since they have had a amazing match but considering their age right now and the impact they made in the early years of tag wreatling as a whole I think they are allowed to half ass it nowadays. Yes sometimes they do just arrive for the check and leave but atleast they are honest about it. Tons of classic feuds and hell even to this day I still get excited seeing them on a card. Love these crazy old bastards, just maybe they should call it quits soon before their careers get more tarnished then they allready are"

[10.0] "Quite probably the greatest tag team of all time. The level of work they've managed to put out consistently as often for as long as they have. The groundbreaking, iconic and influencal impact they had on wrestling is incomparable for me. 5 stars."

[10.0] "Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson were the most popular team in wrestling except for maybe The Road Warriors in 1985-1986. The women loved these two little dudes who were great wrestlers and always put on a great show. The height of their career was in Jim Crockett Promotions, but during the Monday Night Wars, they jumped from WCW to the WWF with a run in Smoky Mountain thrown in and their popularity had clearly waned by 1990 and their return to WCW. Ricky Morton was the most over, always getting the heat segments for Gibson to get the hot tag, a formula that still works to this day. Just a great tag team and one of the best."

[8.0] "One of the better teams in history, who went down hill over time, they stayed a while too long in the buisness, where you wouldnt even know it was the same team by this point."

[10.0] "Just an incredible body of work. They had their formula down to a tee and would nearly always deliver a good match. No one does a babyface in peril and hot tag comeback better."

[10.0] "The most influential and prototypical babyface tag team of all time. These guys had everything you could want in a babyface tag team. They both had good looks, they had good bodies, they could work their asses off, they could sell and get sympathy from the crowd(especially Ricky Morton), they had fire, they drew a lot of money, sold a lot of tickets, and brought a lot of female eyes to the product in their day that otherwise probably wouldn't have watched. They were one of the first teams in my life time anyway, to be marquee players. You put their name on the marquee as the main event attraction, didn't matter who it was against (although usually it was the russians, ole/arn, or Midnights), and it sold the building out. Also, 40 something years later, they are still doing their thing, and still kicking ass. I don't think there will ever be another tag team come along with that kind of longevity...ever. And the teams they influenced reads like a hall of fame list in itself."

That being said they did bring out great stuff from every Midnight Express incarnation, The Andersons and Doom specifically. They seemed to bring out the best from any combination of The Russians as well. But put them in any other situation and I JUST - DON'T- CARE. I fast forward or go to the kitchen for their squash matches, and if it's not one of the teams I've already mentioned - my attention wanders. While YES they DID revolutionize tag team wrestling and YES if not for them there would be no Rockers or Fantastics or even Rock n Roll RPM's. But just because you were influential to teams I love, doesn't mean I'm going to love you...6.25 rounded down, an entire career built upon the talent of others, OVERRATED."

[10.0] "Not sure how anyone can rate them below a 10 if you focus on what they did in the 80's. Besides the 4 Horsemen they were the most over tag team in the 80's and early90's. They could get a crowd going, sell the hell out of a beating, and were the #1 baby faces during their heyday. Their promos were also great as well"

Crowds went absolutely insane for Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson both, and that created some of the most memorable tag team matches and feuds in professional wrestling history. Not necessarily in my GOAT discussion, but I refuse to argue with anyone who places them in their own."
