[6.0] "Was always super happy to watch the Powers of Pain, they fit well together, managed well, and were truly some of the most intimidating and powerful guys wherever they worked."

[6.0] "Brought in as the super baby face foil for Demolition because the WWF couldn't get their mitts on the Road Warriors. What happened is Demolition had gotten over on their own so far that by the time the POP showed up, nobody wanted to cheer the Warlord and Barbarian over Demolition! Powers Of Pain had a good enough look but lacked in charisma and couldn't cut promos to save their life! The double switch at Survivor Series 88 was weird but necessary because these two guys were not ever going to be the #1 baby face team of the company."

[8.0] "Their work in Crockett is damn impressive, yes they were an "answer" to the Road Warriors but at the time please remember, The Barbarian was in JCP long before Animal and The Warlord didn't quite look like Hawk just yet. The enhancement matches are jaw dropping; the displays of power, teamwork and athleticism are profound for the time and always deliver. The bench press event/angle with The Legion of Doom was a hit, the matches following were tooth n nail & went ALL out. Then the trip to New York (WWF). Now a full fledged Road Warrior rip off, the pair went onto to feud with Demolition but the chemistry just wasn't there. The Barbarian did ok but The Warlord seemed out of place on top of limited. Even youngsters could see they didn't have "it" when there and the bell to bell stuff sometimes suffered. Those are harsh words but there are decent matches to be found there, against The Rockers especially. I have an odd confession, The Super Assassins worked for me. So, maybe disregard anything I say about anyone ever. Good is good, bad is a bit bold. 7.75"

[4.0] "Powers Of Pain is what people who hate Demolition think they are, a straight up Road Warriors rip off and not even a good one at that. They had a forgettable feud with Demolition, nothing with noting about that feud or themselves, another team of muscular dudes."

[4.0] "Just a road Warriors rip off. Feud with Demolition seemed never ending. Nothing remarkable to say. Just two muscled guys with face paint."

[9.0] "Loved this team. They clearly should have gotten the title when Fuji turned. I guess Vince was loyal to Demolition for being the pretend Road Warriors for so long. The lack of a big belt and some horrible booking cost them a point."

[8.0] "Very enjoyable bruiser team, I like their presentation and they were better in the ring than they often get credit for."

[4.0] "Sehen auf dem ersten Blick aus wie eine Light-Version der Road Warriors, auf dem zweiten Blick bestätigt sich das auch. Waren nie wirklich großartig im Ring und eher langweilig."

[9.0] "Gutes Heel Tag Team - Was sich klasse ergänzt und aus zwei nicht ganz so gut Teilen eine gute Mischung macht."

[4.0] "Eine wirklich unfassbar beeindruckende Kombination, weil beide Männer zu der Zeit körperlich auf dem Höhepunkt waren. Natürlich im Ring jeweils katastrophal, aber für Tag Team Matches war's ok."

[6.0] "Ach, war das eine schöne Zeit wo Wrestler noch überlebensgroß waren. So wie die beiden."

[6.0] "Cooles Powerhouse-Team aus den Zeiten als Catcher noch Sachen genommen haben von denen sie nichtmal die Namen kannten. ;)"

[3.0] "Ich war nie so der Fan von den Beiden, ich weiß nicht warum, aber die Matches liefen auch nicht so rund wie sie hätten sollen, 3 Punkte."

[8.0] "Ich fand das Tag-Team damals durchaus interessant und beeindruckend, später wurde einem natürlich klar, dass zwei relativ untalentierte und uncharismatische Wrestler dahinter standen."

[4.0] "Ein unbewegliches Powerhouse Tag Team, das mich kaum begeistern konnte."

[4.0] "Sicherlich konnte das Team durch die geballte Muskelmasse optisch beeindrucken. Durch ihr Auftreten im Ring ging aber einiges von diesem Respekt schnell wieder verloren."

[4.0] "Sprangen auf den damaligen "Road-Warrior-Zug" auf, jedoch ohne (im Gegensatz zu Demolition) überzeugen zu können. Aufgepustete Power-Houses, deren fehlendes Charisma nur teilweise von ihrer Intensität aufgefangen werden konnte. Facepaint ist nun einmal nicht alles."

[8.0] "Die beiden waren als Tag Team zur damaligen Zeit sehr unterhaltsam und zumindest der Barbarian war technisch gesehen auch nicht sooo schlecht. Leider hatten sie nach der Trennung nur noch grottige Gimmicks..."

[10.0] "haha! Powers of Pain 4 Life! Geiles Tag Team, zusammen mit Mr. Fuji damals! Big, bad & impressive! Super Fehde mit Demolition... jaja... war halt damals auch sehr jung... da hat sowas eindruck gemacht!"

[8.0] "Hatten alles, was man braucht, um von sich reden zu machen. Zwei furchteinflößende Powerhouses mit noch beängstigerendem Tag Team Namen und einem guten Manager!"

[4.0] "Im Team haben die beiden gut zusammen gepasst, aber mehr auch nicht, fand sie früher schon nicht so überragend!"

[10.0] "Ich habe eine Schwäche für Muskelmonster und mehr Muskel und mehr Monster ging damals nicht mehr. Beeindruckende Ringgiganten, die Kopie war ohnehin ersichtlich!"

[4.0] "Power ohne Ende, aber während der Barbarian noch einigermaßen wrestlen konnte, war der Warlord einfach nur ein wandelnder Muskelberg. Mic-Fähigkeiten mal ganz aussen vor."
