"On the off chance somebody glances through my ratings and wonders why I didn't rate Cage and Cope / Edge and Christian, it's because the abridged view of the team in AEW and what little I saw of their Attitude Era years (post-Ministry of Darkness, pre-9/11) totals a little under 4 years, whereas I've seen their singles careers over a period of cumulative decades, including their nearly one combined decade in AEW spent mostly out of their team. Put another way, they've tagged for less than 10 years of the last 30 and have been primarily singles wrestlers for 24 of those years. Not my place, and maybe not their big thing, even."

They definitely revolutionized the industry and went on to great things, but due to being great individually, the longevity as a team is not there. Hopefully they can put on some great shows together in AEW"

[10.0] "Two of my favorite wrestlers of all time wrestling as a tag team during wrestling's greatest era? It really doesn't get better than this, Edge and Christian produced classic after classic no matter what they did. Whether you're talking about the Brood days, or the backyard ladder matches against the Hardys, or the TLC matches (my personal favorite was always TLC3 on Smackdown), these two were just masters and innovators of the craft of tag team wrestling. Ngl it's kind of crazy these two never really feuded, reunited, or had any meaningful interactions with each other in WWE post 2001. Holding out for one final E&C run in AEW."

[10.0] "The true GOATs of Tag Team wrestlings. To me, the Attitude Era probably isn't as memorable without these two blonde Canadians. Of course, what more needs to be said about TLC II at 'Mania 17? The best 'Mania of all time had probably the best tag team match of all time on it with of course one of the most memorable spots of Edge spearing Jeff Hardy from the top of the ladder, And their catchphrases "for those with the benefit of flash photography" and "reeks of awesomeness" have been engrained into most wrestling fans (and even non wrestling fans) vernaculars. E&C are the quintessential tag team and even though they are now having the best feud in AEW, their WWE work will be talked about for generations to come."

[10.0] "Absolutely LOVED this team. Fantastic in ring chemistry with an excellent blending of styles. Helped usher in a whole new era of tag team wrestling and became synonymous with high caliber/quality gimmick matches; mostly of note being those "TLC" rollercoasters. Antics outside of the ring and those centering around many matches kept me in stitches then and is still a riot to revisit. The 5 Second pose bits are CLASSIC. Flaws? Honestly there should and could have been more matches and even more competition, it feels like even with their long(ish) run - so much more could have been done! Top tier tag team. (Bonus points! The two continue to work so well off of each other, their shows and podcasts are wonderful contributions to wrestling nerdery. Bless this pair! )"

[10.0] "I absolutely hated Edge & Christian as a fan of The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz, but they were absolutely one of the best tag teams ever. They always engaged the crowds on the mic, were innovative in terms of wrestlers at their size in the ring, and had a long list of all-time classics. Both found great success individually, but this tag team became one of the definitive aspects of The Attitude Era."
sabbathbloodysabbath wrote on 16.07.2020:
[10.0] "Man, remember when the WWF had a tag division worth being excited about. In 2000 itself we had 6 tag teams that were completely over, including E&C, Dudleys, Hardys, APA, Too Cool, and DX, as well as Kai En Tai and T&A to make up the numbers. Even with the stacked tag division, Edge and Christian managed to stand out. They were always great in the ring, but turning into the arrogant heels after winning their tag titles was just what they needed, giving them the chance to show how great they were on the mic, and they would only get better. I also credit their ladder match with the Hardy Boyz in 99 as being the turning point in the WWF in terms of match quality in the mid-to-lower cards (of course the arrival of a ton of good talent at the same time helped a lot as well). Easily my favorite ever tag team in the WWF/E."

They have put on some of the most iconic matches and moments of all time and they're funny as hell. A great great tag team in every way possible"

[8.0] "One of the iconic tag teams of the Attitude Era. Edge and Christian definitely made their mark, in more ways than one. I'd rate them higher but as popular as Edge and Christian were as a tag team, tag teams in the WWF, even in the Attitude Era, still had a ceiling."

[8.0] "A very charismatic team, and they are very accomplished when it comes to big gimmick matches. My main complaint is they have very few memorable straight matches, if they can only get a great match with a big gimmick then that's a bit of a flaw. Still a very good team though."

[10.0] "Edge & Christian were the Bill and Ted/Wayne and Garth of pro wrestling, and not only that, but they took that type of duo and made it into 1 of the most entertaining heel acts ever. Both men had excellent in-ring chemistry, were hilarious in their promos, and took some of the more legendary risks that WWE have ever conceived (Their TLC and Ladder matches). It was also during this team's run that Edge was in the best shape of his career (Much like Steve Austin in early 1997) and Christian was developing a reputation of being able to hang with the heavyweights (by wrestling like 1). While other teams have come that might show some of the same traits (like The Young Bucks), these guys' legacy is set in stone."
