[10.0] "The story of the Golden Lovers is, in my opinion, the best story in wrestling history. Their story is written like a Shakespearean tragedy, with love, betrayal, romance, and friendship. Not to mention their matches are always incredible and the chemistry Kota and Kenny have is unmatched."
[10.0] "Contender for best tag team and best story in the history of wrestling, its the thing that made me fall in love with it at first sight and its still my favorite duo in anything ever, i love them and hope they can fight together again even if its just for a final goodbye for kenny"
[10.0] "My dear Golden Lovers, consisting of my 2 favourite all time wrestlers and being my favourite tag team of all time, the cohesion the moves the psychology the connection the vibe, ALL LIKE NO OTHER. Hoping they continue their legendary run in AEW with a tag title run, they deserve it"
[10.0] "Two of the best singles wrestlers of all time who were put together and became one of the greatest tag teams of all time. They've put on phenomenal matches all over Japan, one of my favorites being VS The Young Bucks. I heard about the rumored reunion soon in AEW and I can't wait for it. Overall two amazing pro wrestlers who are great at everything they do in the ring."
[6.0] "In their prime they were one of if not THE best in the world, however, I enjoy both of them as singles competitors right now, and another golden lovers run in current times doesn't interest me, especially in AEW's current tag team division. Decent team currently"
[9.0] "The Golden Lovers run is short but incredibly iconic, these two guys will forever be linked with each other, they are not only insanely talented individuals, but were capable to provide a beautiful story of partnership, that involved real life sentiments and was brought to the squared circle. This is pretty much a DDT tag team, with sporadic moments in other companies. Their paths differed for the most part of their careers, but the team is so iconic that no one ever forgets, they proved that wrestling can be a love story."
"[10.0] my all time favorite tag team i even run a pill account of them tiktok.com/goldenloverspill they are so good the story of romance betrail and friend ship is just perfect"
[10.0] "Two of my favorites of all time just so happen to be one of the greatest tag teams of all time. They also have one of the greatest stories of all time and their G1 Match is 10/10. Recommendations: vs Ospreay & Ishii (Road to Destruction '18), vs Ospreay & Tanahashi (Road to Tokyo Dome '18), vs Young Bucks (Strong Style Evolved '18), vs Okada & Ishii (Fighting Spirit Unleashed) vs Apollo 55 (Destruction '10), vs Cody & Scurll (Honor Rising '18), vs LIJ (When Worlds Collide)"
[7.0] "Their initial run as the junior tag team was good but suffered the same limitations that any young high flying team would. In 2018 they were both much more polished wrestlers but there's still not a lot to rate on and only the one match versus Tanahashi and Ospreay sticks in the memory as a great one."
[10.0] "The Golden Lovers have a synchronicity that hundreds of other tag teams aspire to, and have put on some amazing work in NJPW, and I only pray we'll get to see them in AEW too. Their storyline together is gigantic but always feels passionate and real, and it's a joy to see that wrestling's greatest love story is between two men."
[10.0] "The legacy of the Golden Lovers in pro wrestling history, will forever be remembered, a team that may have well changed the face of wrestling forever."
[5.0] "I don't see the appeal. Their famous for their time in DDT wrestling blow up dolls. I have seen their stuff from this time and it's nothing noteworthy. Their time in NJPW is arguably even worse because like everything in NJPW, it ends up becoming some stupid Bullet Club thing. I like both these wrestlers as individuals hence the high rating I give them but as a team they do nothing for me."
[7.0] "They're good at best, decent at worst. The Golden Lovers can almost always pull out a good match, but I liked them more for the longterm storytelling. Once the story concluded and they reunited, I just lost interest and it became a tribute act...to themselves. They didn't have any identity, nothing they were fighting for than to just try to keep something going that was long gone. This team had their moments, and some great matches, especially the one with the Young Bucks, but they weren't an all-time great team or anything, just a good one."
[5.0] "Their work as a team feels like a novelty rather than like, an actual tag team. I already am not too hot on Omega, but I don't care for their chemistry as much as a unit. The story is nice, but it's just not the tag team wrestling I'm looking for."
[10.0] "Both men are outstanding singles wrestler and together, they were one of the greatest teams in professional wrestling. Constantly putting on classics."
[9.0] "A case can be made that the Golden Lovers have the best tandem offense in tag team history. They bring a unique combination of striking power and raw athleticism that can be morphed into unimaginably diverse offensive maneuvers. As such, I'm incredibly tempted to give this team a 10/10. The only reason I'm going 9/10 is that they are somewhat limited in their experience as a team. Yes, over 100 matches, but every one of my 10/10 teams has at least 200 matches under their belt. I may reconsider this because of how damn good The Golden Lovers are, but for now, 9/10 with 10/10 capabilities."
[9.0] "What a tag team that was! Charisma, explosiveness, the looks. In fact, back then, not many could imagine these two will become one of the best wrestlers in the world. This might be a reason, why this tag team is so underrated. I don't think Golden Lovers accomplished as much as they actually deserved. Kota and Kenny were not as popular back then as they are right now. Maybe if they reunited and wrestled as a team again, they could shock the world with their greatness..."
[7.0] "They have good matches but honestly, their Golden Lovers matches in DDT were by far the least interesting aspects of their DDT runs. Much prefer either guy in singles matches against each other or otherwise. A good team but overhyped by the idea of the two teaming together rather than their output. However, they do have quality matches like the HARASHIMA/KUDO match, the Takeshita/Endo match, the Apollo 55 matches, etc. Just over hyped a little. And their Bucks match is pure garbage."
[9.0] "The only problem I have with the Golden Lovers is they were so phenomenally good at everything they did they rarely found a tag team at their level. Their only rivals that came close were Apollo 55, and that's mostly because in that timeframe Ryusuke Taguchi was one of the top cruiserweights in the world. For the rest absolutely amazing team all-around, supremely entertaining and deservedly popular with fans: I still have two of their t-shirts still sealed in the original packages as a reminder."
[10.0] "Even as I've become somewhat tired of Omega, I have to recognize this as one of the best tag teams ever. Great long-term storytelling brought to you by one of the most talented in-ring workers of the past decade."
[10.0] "Just a stunning tag team. They're two of the greatest wrestlers in the world, what else do you expect? Their matches in 2018 against Okada/Ishii, Ospreay/Ishii, Ospreay/Tanahashi, Bullet Club, and the Young Bucks were all great. They can tell a story, create a memorable and creative spot, and cut a great promo. They're the full package. Their chemistry is to die for."
[10.0] "They have a very special bound and you can always feel it. Similar styles of wrestling, awesome chemistry and a good history. They're great partners and rivals. Hope they can wrestle together or against each other again one day."
[10.0] "2 phenomenal wrestlers joining forces as a tag team. What could go wrong? Apparently nothing. Really solid team with great chemistry. They could probably put on a good match with a couple of wood planks"
[10.0] "Best tag team in the business today every of their match is one of the best of the year. They are not a real tag team anymore but they are better than every tag team. High spots, story telling, technical abilities, they can do everything, I hope one day we will get a match against Okada & Tanahashi it would make so much sense, why not at MSG ?"
[10.0] "The Golden Lovers are Back in Charge! Kenny and Kota's Friendship and Talent should win them the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, or Kenny could challenge Jay White for the US Championship in a Rematch."
[10.0] "The Golden Lovers have a chemistry between them that allows them to jse both of their strengths to carry a tag team division as both faces and heels, truely an amazing tag team to watch"
