[4.0] "Wildly overrated. Great wrestlers, sure, but absolute personality voids. Just absolutely nothing there to make you care about WHY they're doing the things they're doing beyond "They wrestle good"."

[6.0] "The only time I could stand and enjoy Eddie Edwards was the time he was in Wolves. Good tag team and I really enjoyed their work in IMPACT. Typical babyfaces. Not the most exciting or charismatic, but they sure could deliver a great action and did some exciting spots."

[10.0] "By far one of ROH's greatest tag teams of all time. Edwards and Richards are fantastically gifted singles competitors, but together they are absolutely magic. Always enjoy watching these guys."

[7.0] "A good team but one that gets a little bland after a while. I enjoy their work in TNA but it should also be mentioned they got a little bit excessive during their indy run, a lot of negative indy tropes followed them around."

[10.0] "I love The American Wolves. They were great tag team champions in ROH. They had great matches with everyone."

[7.0] "Good tag team. They have had some great tag matches in the past, including quite possibly the greatest tag team match of the 2000's vs. Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black."
DanTalksRasslin wrote on 15.04.2015:
[9.0] "Though both Edwards and Richards have had a good deal of singles success, they're arguably at their best together. As a team they have great interplay and tandem offense. While neither are great mic workers, together their personalities show through, with, as someone described below, Richards as the intense one and Edwards as the calculating one. After successful careers both together and on their own in ROH, they've come to TNA and have been presented as an elite team and centerpiece of the tag division, with several memorable matches (including a three-way TLC against veterans Team 3D and the Hardys) already under their belts."

[9.0] "The Wolves are the best tag team of 2014 in my opinion. Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards just work well together. They have great creative tag teams moves. All the matches I've seen involving them have been great."
Paul Allain wrote on 31.08.2013:
[7.0] "When they first teamed up, the American Volves generated quite a buzz, but seemed to be a platform for Davey Richards to stand out. Instead, Eddie Edwards stepped up and both men alternated between Singles and Tag success. Because of their single career, the team often dabbled in miscomunication and lack of focus. But, when they really join forces, they bring methodical destruction to a new level, having mercyless focus and great gusto doing so. The versatility of the pairing makes them a good addition anywhere they go."
