[7.0] "TOOO SWEEEET! The Outsiders can be described as another legendary tag team that managed to make their mark anywhere they went. In terms of character work, they were off the charts. Scott bringing the machismo and Nash bringing the cool, it really made for a charismatic tag team which had a grip on any crowd. The Outsiders really started to fizzle around 1998 and the whole Scott Hall "alcohol" storyline was horrible and even when they reunited it didn't feel the same."

[9.0] "Just like the nWo, the Outsiders were a pretty popular and functional tag team back in the day, these guys were awesome, they were really close friends in real life and made the most out of their run, I know that Hulk Hogan was the most important one and the guy that really made the group thrive, but these guys deserve a lot of merit."

[6.0] "I think their charisma & real life friendship is what helps them a lot, but as an actual Tag team they really weren't that great. Hall always did the bulk of the work and Big Sexy did his 4 or 5 moves of doom, and didn't even do that many double team moves that I can remember anyway. They really held down some teams, and clung onto the straps for far longer then they should in WCW. TNA run was just an especially poor rerun attempt, but by this point Hall was in a bad place, and Nash was much older & slower."

The team of Hall & Nash was, in my eyes, the most interesting piece of the NWO pie. Hogan played his part as well, but The Outsiders were the cool bit who were rebels. The NWO ballooned far too quickly & Hall's personal problems lead to this team not lasting for as long as they should have, but it was a hell of a ride while it lasted."

And almost nothing Hall and Nash did as a tag team was meaningful; outside of the Bash at the Beach where Hogan turned, no tag team match they were in was very meaningful or otherwise positive. What positive contributions they did make were as part of the NWO group and not as an actual tag team."

[9.0] "There's no dispute about it. The Outsiders were the ones who made the nWo. If it wasn't for Outsiders, nWo would probably been lame-ass group with Hogan mixed with guys like Brutus Beefcake, Vincent, Ted Dibiase and probably Nasty Boys. And also if it wasn't for the Outsiders joining in WCW, Hogan's career would had been done by 1997. And as much I mark out for them, I've never seen the Outsiders as a traditional tag team like Harlem Heat, Steiners, Road Warriors, etc, but I've seen them as a super team of two big stars put together much like the Rock & Mankind or Randy Savage & Hulk Hogan, but the Outsiders were Super team that worked very well, probably because of their coolness factor, of combining charisma, body-language & acting skills of both Hall & Nash."
