[8.0] "First of all, I've only seen the SMW work of this iteration of The Fantastics. They were the first top babyface tag team in SMW, long before the Rock n Roll Express made their debut in the promotion. On the first show, Bobby Fulton wrestled Ivan Koloff, winning after Koloff was disqualified after Ron Wright had given him a weapon. That continued in the next show, were both wrestlers presented a partner: Vladimir Koloff and Jackie Fulton. That started the first feud in the tag team division. It had some good matches were The Fantastics became the most beloved act in the company. I enjoyed their tag matches against the Koloffs and against Ivan & Jimmy Golden. Soon after, the tag title tournament started and both teams participate on it. Even if it seemed that the two teams would clash in the finals, the reality was other. The Koloffs were eliminated on the first round after an interference by the Fultons. They reached the finals of the tournament after some great matches with the Wild Bunch (Joel Deaton and Billy Black), were they faced a bigger threat: Jim Cornette's Heavenly Bodies. The Bodies won their first encounter and became the first holders of SMW's tag titles, but the feud had just started. Cornette's interference and hitting one of the Fultons with his tennis racket, led into a brawl at the end, where one of The Fantastics got his leg injured by the attacks of the Bodies & Cornette (in kayfabe, as they were touring Japan). The Fantastics cut some good promos hyping their return and how they were going to get revenge on Cornette. Bobby really impressed me there. After their return, they had some amazing brawls through all the building and one of them even forced the Bodies to run away in a car. Also wrestled on one of my favorite matches in 1992 SMW: the Four Way Tag Team Elimination. In the end, all the set up culminated at Fire in the Mountain, where The Fantastics won the tag titles on a Barberd Wire Cage Match. That was a great match, a bloody brawl where the babyfaces finally achieved their objective. Sadly, their reign didn't last long. In a rematch with the former champions, Cornette sprayed ether on a towel and used it to knock out one of the Fultons, allowing his team to regain the titles. Their run wouldn't last long. They had a match against the Stud Stable that ended with Dutch Mantell granting Fuller & Golden the win with a fast count. The Fantastics had an amazing run in SMW. Not only they had success winning the titles, also had some memorable bouts with the Wild Bunch (in the three way with Golden & Rogers and in the tournament), with the Koloffs, the Stud Stable and specially all the feud with the Heavenly Bodies, with great matches, promos and an interesting feud that kept me wanting to see more of them each week it passed. So, I'm really glad I watched SMW and discovered this tag team."
