[5.0] "This is the tacky fruitier version of the Freebirds. When Hayes and Garvin started wearing eye makeup and tassels and frills. Still a pretty solid team but no where close to the legendary status of the original Free Birds. This team falls into the "New" category of tag teams which never come close to achieving the same success."

[6.0] "I'm probably the biggest fan of this version of The Fabulous Freebirds you'll ever find. Do i legit *love* them? Ah hah-hah, NO. I'm just a Gorgeous Jimmy mark and you won't find me s#itting on this as much as most do. While I shamelessly appreciate just about everything Jimmy Garvin has ever done, Michael Hayes drags this WAY down and I can't really defend hardly anything he did here. The glitter pants were ugly as hell, the rebel flag nonsense was unadulterated TRASH. However, when NOT stalling its surprisingly watchable. Lastly, in a rare case Jim Cornette is full of it; Garvin was NOT on steroids here, that's an obviously natural physique. While Garvin for sure wasn't on the roids... I think Hayes was on an all carbs diet (he was straight, up, FAT)."

[4.0] "They still had the moves but not nearly as a good as the style. These two tried their best and they were over with the fans, but they can't win over age."

[2.0] "Ew. A far cry version of the Original Freebirds. I admit they were super over with the crowd despite not being all that good in the ring anymore, so I'll give them a couple of points for that. But whenever they wrestled on any WCW shows I watched, my brain just went 'Oh no, not again! ' every time, which is NOT a good thing at all."

[0.0] "Who is highly rating this version of the Freebirds? Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin were a terrible tag team. Hayes wasn't any good in the ring, and Garvin was even worse than Hayes. Their matches sucked, their feuds sucked, their interviews sucked; everything about this absolutely abysmal duo sucked."

[7.0] "This isn't how I want to remember the Freebirds and despite them not being like the stable they were definitely entertaining and deserve the praise."

[0.0] "Perhaps they were good in the early 80s when they were a full stable, but this particular version of the team is truly awful. From the late 80s to the early 90s they are consistently the worst on every card they are on. Wildly out of shape and completely lacking in decent offense, they spend a ton of time just strutting around and ignoring the match, making everyone else look worse around them in the meantime. And that's just when they aren't race- or gay-baiting."
