[2.0] "Never liked masked tag teams where you can't discern which guy is which but at least they were better in the ring than the Bolsheviks."

[5.0] "Adquate enhancement talent that served as a stepping stone for tag teams seeking main event status. Not half bad in a slow paced mat based match. Totally lost when going against speedsters, they could barely keep pace and make their spots."

[10.0] "Looking somewhere between 3-CPO and the Oscar statue bouncing about in a pinball machine, The Conquistadores solidified themselves almost instantly as THE enhancement talent tag team and a duo that would work their way into my heart even faster. Jose Luis Rivera directly prior had a string of masked personas and had just finished a hooded pairing with Moondog Rex as "The Shadows", Jose Estrada recently returned from one of his many Puerto Rico stints as just himself but fate would play a wondrous role when the two paired themselves and presented the Conquistador idea to McMahon. YES! This is one of those few moments where the talent created the characters/pairings (see also: Demolition and Power & Glory) after already employed by the 'F. The chemistry jumped from the screen; constant illegal switcharoos and every damn underhanded chicanerous tactic in wrestling's long illustrious history. Cheap heel antics full tilt non stop! Aside from relishing in every possible no-good-nick treacherous moment they would bounce around haphazardly, often into each other to wonderful comedic results. I can only recommend every single tag match involving the team - they range from very watchable to surprisingly outstanding, especially when paired against The Rockers! I must also note their match against The Fabulous Rougeaus (Primetime Wrestling June 27 1988); The Rougeaus had already gone with the motions with their heel turn, but the match had been booked just prior to - so there was this awkward "Conquistadores get booed a lil while the brothers are booed LOUDLY" start. The Conquistadores then heel it up so profoundly and overtly that the crowd just HAS to turn on them....even against The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers! That's when you are undoubtedly EXCELLENT at your job. Team highlight is hands down their Survivor Series '88 showing. I love this team so much that, well LOL look at the screen name."

[3.0] "I'll be honest this tag team was plodding and during house shows would wrestle for 15-20 minutes using mostly stall tactics. Very hard to watch, and the only time I cheered for them is when they put an Terry Taylor (first night in WWF) and Sam Hoston"

[3.0] "One of the most ridiculous gimmicks ever. They were not great in the ring either and just came across as jobbers in masks."
