[10.0] "I loved to hate these guys when I was a kid. Young me though the Anvil was the better of the two, but adult me is ashamed of young me. They came together as two guys thrown together and managed by Jimmy Hart. A feud with The British Bulldogs was on the menu because they were all related. They won the WWF tag titles from the Bulldogs with help from Dangerous Danny Davis, who became an unofficial third member before being carted off to jobber city. Eventually, Bret Turned face after Bad News Brown betrayed him a battle royal and The Anvil followed suit. They won another title and lost it to the Nasty Boys, eventually going their separate ways. Bret found more success, winning the I-C title and later the World Title from Ric Flair. Later reformed as a stable with Davey Boy Smith, Brian Pillman, and Owen Hart. One of the best tag team of the '80s."

[10.0] "It's easy to say that Bret carried the team, but the Anvil was really one of the best tag team guys I can think of. These two worked together so well and deserved all their success. Their promos were fantastic and their double-team moves are still held in high regard today! Great team."

[10.0] "A legendary tag team that moulded WWE's tag division during the early 90s. Brought a great dynamic with Bret being the technician & Anvil being the powerhouse. Worked with all teams during their era, including the Rockers, Demolition, & the Bulldogs. Had a great look, which added to WWE's presentation at the time."

That being said, Bret did carry this team and Anvil was the one who usually got the hot tag and cleaned house after Bret put on his fantastic face in peril showing."

[7.0] "Not a huge fan of this version of the hart foundation, I always found that the chemistry was better with Jim & Owen. But let's talk about this one, good but not great in ring, nice charisma and attitude, mic wasn't the greatest but it could totally do the work and of course It helped made Bret the star he was after it."

Props to Anvil, his charisma and (weird) promo chops really helped cover for some of Brets weaknesses during that period. The mad ol' crackhead doesn't get the credit he deserves in the development of the Bret we all came to love."

[10.0] "Amazing team from one of the two golden eras for tag teams in WWE. The perfect combination of speed and technical from the Hitman and the power and brawling of the Anvil. They got what is probably the only good match out of the Nasty Boys which tells you how great they both were."

[10.0] "Excellent tag team another one from my childhood so I understand I'm nostalgic and can be biased but I would put there work up against any tag team of the time. Good stuff in the early days with Jimmy Hart. The Hart Foundation were there for the the Mega Powers build up when Honky Tonkman was getting at Savage with the guitar the Hart Foundation held Macho Man as Elizabeth got Hogan. They were top guys in the golden Era. Classic matches with Demolition the Russians Nasty Boys the Rougoues Bulldogs and many I'm overlooking. Great as heels or face 2 different personalities working a unique style together. Hot tags selling and doing the jobs for a good story made them one the all time best tag teams in my opinion."

[9.0] "The Hart Foundation (just Jim and Bret) were a great team. Bret Hart was a great technical wrestler and he was smaller which paired perfectly with Neidhart being the power of the team. They were great in the ring and good on the mic. They had a lot of big matches and feuds in a talented late 80s early 90s WWE."

[10.0] "One of the greatest tag teams of all time and a perfect dynamic with a great finisher. The explosive power & great mic skills of Neidhart combined with the genius in ring work of Bret Hart, made them compatible with any tag team style. They sold brilliantly and were always involved in good to great matches, could wrestle as heels or babyfaces (I was never a fan of Bret as a heel, but it worked in the Hart Foundation especially as Jim Neidhart had that natural heel charisma). 2 times WWF World Champions and without a doubt top 10 tag team of all time. They had a good stint as a tag team and I was sad to see them split up, even though I wasn't a fan. 9.6"

[7.0] "For the most part I will be basing my Wrestler ratings on five criteria four of which are based on in-ring ability and the last on charisma. I believe these five criteria are pro wrestling's version of Tommy Lasorda's criteria of "five points" in baseball. For pro wrestling those five criteria are power, speed, technical ability, hardcore & charisma. Hart Foundation's scores: Power: 7 Speed: 7 Technical: 6 Hardcore: 7 Charisma: 6 for a total of 33 and an average of 6.6 rounded up to 7."

[10.0] "I just love this team. They brought out the best in The British Bulldogs. The Anvil would get ROUGH in Demolition matches. The Hitman had some of the quickest saves in ALL of tag wrestling. They pushed The Powers of Pain & The Nasty Boys to some of their best matches. They had outstanding showings at the first two Survivor Series. Because of the team dynamics (Power n brute force guy/Speed n technique guy), they had some really fantastic chemistry with practically every team they encountered. I could watch "The Hart Foundation vs ______________" and I would be thrilled. More? Really great team moves where The Hitman would often find new ways to propel The Anvil! Their hot pink look became iconic. Delivered the good as heels or faces regardless of the foe or evening. Tremendous!"

[10.0] "Simply one of the very best tag teams in wrestling history. Easily one of the very best in WWF/E history. They had a very solid long run, lasting from the mid 80s all the way until WrestleMania 7 in early 1991, with amazing runs as both heels alongside Jimmy Hart and eventually as faces in their last years. Their matches as heels against the Rogeaus, the Killer Bees and especially The British Bulldogs were absolutely innovative stuff, that opened many doors and paved the way for future generations. As babyfaces, they knocked it out of the park against the Brain Busters, the Rockers, Demolition and even in their last match against the Nasty Boys. Lots of memorable matches and moments were provided by this tag team. The Anvil was awesome as the exciting hot tag powerhouse, while Bret was the great technical wrestler who did a great job as face-in-peril to set up Anvil's hot tag. Unquestionably a 10/10 tag team."

[10.0] "One of the best tag teams of all time for sure. Excel as both face and/or heel. Practically set the new standard for tag wrestling for years to come. Some modern teams these days even use their widely popularized Hart Attack in their matches today."

[10.0] "One of the definitive tag teams in professional wrestling history. Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart had tremendous chemistry that encapsulated what it means to be a tag team. They blended power and technical wrestling in a brilliant manner that emulated The British Bulldogs, but also came with their own unique twist. Compounded by the fact that they had an iconic finishing maneuver and have earned rave reviews across generations, I think they're a must for a 10/10 rating. Influence and in-era brilliance."

[7.0] "Was not bad but I feel the team held back Bret Hart for years. Were able to turn from heel to face without changing much."

[5.0] "A good and very memorable team, but I don't see them quite as one of the best of all time. Neidhart has his strengths but he has some weaknesses too, and Bret was still developing during much of this run. Still, they have a lot of great matches on their resume and an impressive peak run. EDIT: The more I see of these guys, the less I understand their legendary status. Their matches are often mediocre by the standards of their own era."

[8.0] "The Hart Foundation were a great team, and whilst they had a good run on top of the WWF's tag team division, they suffer the same fate as the British Bulldogs, in that their overall rating is hurt by them not having a sustained money drawing run."

[8.0] "A great tag team, they should have done more, but the competition was high back in there time. Also, Bret had to fly solo, so that was that. They had alot going for them that made them successful, a good manager, color coardinated, a good name and gimmick. I really liked there tandem offense and tag team finisher. Not much more to say otherwise, a really good team that had really good matches against really good teams. Never be duplicated, only imitated."
