[10.0] "In a world where it's never been easier to see the difference between who a wrestler is on and off screen, something I've come to appreciate is wrestlers who don't bullshit. Jay, in his time on this Earth, and Mark to this day, both of them kept it real. Very rarely was there a difference in character and true self for either of them, only really being done when Jay's tweets became the center of some controversy in the mid-2010s, something which many since then have said he learned from and grew better as a person. In regards to the realness, they kept it real in everything. Their work, promos, style, their whole vibe. You knew seeing them wherever they showed up that you'd get some amazing chemistry filled matches out of them, they could work with anybody. My first experience with the Briscoes was at the beginning of their FTR feud (entering the wrestling sphere late had some consequences of missed out opportunities), and the moment Jay started talking with Mark adding his words when needed, I was hooked. I saw two badasses ready to fight, and fight they did. It's a true shame Jay never got the national TV exposure Mark has achieved since his passing, but Jay's memory clearly lives on through Mark on screen, and the influence of the brothers is clear throughout both tag and singles wrestlers to this day. They weren't kidding. Top 5. Dead of Alive. Hands Down."

They were unique & had a great charm. From hardcore to emotional storytelling; the Briscoes will be remembered as a legendary team during a time when tag wrestling was not favored."

These guys were just so different to everybody else when it came to being a character, and their in-ring work together was just fantastic. Incredibly sad their team is over now after the death of Jay. But Mark Briscoe is carrying on the legacy. Their team will never be forgotten and will go down as one of the best teams in professional wrestling."

It is at the date of this review, one year of Jay Briscoes passing, taken way too soon. Mark Briscoe continues the legacy of the team by representing all the best offensive that a single man can deliver. Together they did double team, cut off, slam with the redneck boogie and click the doomsday device by the top or springboard of the same rope. Ring of Honor was the Briscoes home and the home filled with love among locker room peers broken in to the business like the Steen/Generico team, OGK, ANX, MCMGs, Young Bucks, STP, VLNCE UNLTD, Second Gear Crew, G.O.D, KOW & of course theyre greatest rivals FTR. Truly the baddest tag team, Rest in Peace Jay Briscoe."

The Briscoe Brothers were a staple tag team in several promotions not just during the early years of there career but for the entirety of it. From being a standout tag team in CZW early on and then being THE tag team in ROH for the rest of there career. The Briscoes would go on to find success literally everywhere they went. Representing ROH in both NOAH and NJPW. No matter the state, promotion, or opponent the Briscoes had you leaving the ring better then when you entered it."

[10.0] "Out of all the utterly fantastic modern tag teams, like the Motor City Machine Guns, FTR, and the Young Bucks, these guys honestly stood out to me the most. The passing of Jay Briscoe is shattering for me, I admittedly hadn't really gotten into the Briscoe Brothers much before their feud with FTR, but I can't stop watching their stuff now. They're a unique team that would be main event talents in any era, they have a damn incredible library of matches that any aficionado of rasslin' should be able to really appreciate."

[8.0] "One of my all-time favourite tag teams. They have a very unique style, personality and appearance. Great redneck brothers gimmick. They always stand out from all other teams because of their looks and behaviour. Jay Briscoe is very successful wrestler in his singles career. One of the best brawlers with one of the most destructive finishers in business - The Jay Driller. Mark is the crazier and more agile one. His top rope dives or outside the ring jumps are his signature moves. I absolutely love their entrance - it's badass. Great tag team."

[6.0] "I am not a fan of their character. the rebel flag leaning towards white trash gimmick is not for me. i do believe blue collar and or "backwoods" gimmicks can work. i enjoy blue collar solid and the deaner boys. their in ring work is pretty good."

[10.0] "One of the better overall tag teams in the last decade or so; two dudes who put me on ROH. I've not often seen a team look EXACTLY the way they're booked. They can seem legit spooky at times. Their ring work and promos are excellent. There's a tendency to place Jay higher than Mark due to his greater prominence, but I love Mark's stupid dopey face. Watch their "Terry Funk ain't wear no mouth piece", and if you still dislike dem boys, you dislike much of what made Austin the superstar he was."

[5.0] "Very overrated. This team has made me dismiss ROH almost entirely because ROH has clearly stated that this is the best it gets. Their look is horrendous and their matches are boring. I'm not invested in these guys at any moment when I watch a match."

[9.0] "A wild and highly memorable team, the Briscoes have been doing their thing for ages and it just never quite gets old, does it? I don't quite give them a 10 because I think they can be slightly one note, but it's a very good note and they hit it exquisitely."

[10.0] "Easily one of the BEST tag team EVER! They have had so many classics against a variety of teams and their chemistry is just unmatched honestly. Their match at Unified vs Aries & Strong is my favorite tag team match ever! I honestly don't get tired of watching these guys in the ring as they are just a joy to watch and make every match they have worth watching."

[10.0] "Mainstays of Ring of Honor since the company's beginning, the Briscoes have also had a good deal of success elsewhere on the indy scene over the years. A team that can seemingly do it all and work with opponents of any style, having memorable matches ranging from high-flying affairs to bloody brawls. Certainly a modern addition to the shortlist of all-time great brother tag teams."

[10.0] "#DemBoys are the standard by which all ROH wrestler are measured. Together, or separately, they can literally do it all, in and out of the ring. In their own words, they weren't "cosmetically pleasing" enough to make it in the WWE, but that hardly matters. They've already, despite their relative youthfulness, achieved so much in so many different places across America and Japan. Another reason to like them is that they've been with ROH almost since literally day one. They remain faithful to ROH, and are helping out the next generation of ROH competitors by giving them advice and encouragement, plus the opportunity to face two of the best wrestlers in the world today. Such humility is hard to find in the cutthroat world of pro wrestling. But these two Sons of Sandy Fork are the best today, and will go down as two of the best of all time."

[6.0] "Jay & Mark Briscoe are perennial fixture on the independent scene, having wrestle for almost every promotion of big or small importance, but more well known for their long tenure in ROH, becoming some of the most iconic figures of the promotions. They are able to get a reaction everywhere they go, but such a large exposure comes with a price. While they do have a rather large repertoire of strategies and can be fairly versatile, they do tend to resort to theur own cliches and often need to be tweaked and be fed plots to remain relevant. The fact that they still are regarded as tag wrestlers, even after many opportunities, is a testament to their chemistry, but also to their somewhat narrow appeal and their limitations. Well-oiled machine, no doubt, but that needs much much efforts to keep on functioning."

[10.0] "easily 1 of the best tag teams in the world today. Both of them are incredibly athletic and brilliant wrestlers, individually and as a tag team. They might have a name similar to another well known set of Briscos, but they are very different. Jay's promos are easily some of the best and grittiest in wrestling right now, bringing the good elements of ECW & Memphis wrestling into them, and when they shoot, they're really funny and relatable. It feels like they've been around forever, and yet neither of them are in their 30s yet. WWE needs a tag team like this. TNA needs a tag team like this. ROH is fortunate to have a tag team like this, and I'm intrigued to see where they'll be in 5 years time."
