[2.0] "Objectively, Tournament of Death VII is the weakest TOD of all time. Out of all the matches, only 2 of them really stood out to me. Those matches are Scotty Vortekz vs. Mickie Knuckles & Nick Gage vs. Danny Havoc vs. Pinkie Sanchez vs. Greg Excellent. The other semi final is rated so highly in my matchguide due to the simplicity of them using an unique weapon (probably gonna bump it down to a 5). I would strongly only watching those two matches I meantioned as everything else is either awful or simply bland and boring."
[2.0] "The opener served as a nice way to close the Pinkie/Demanto short feud, which really elevated Pinkie. The laborious finish was painful to see peter out, but Pinkie's perseverance somewhat redeemed him. Vortekz/Mickie was quite average, as Mickie Knuckles simply isn't as good as the opportunities she gets, but The Naptown Dragons asserted their characters and further their journey through the tournament. Dustin/WHACKS pursued the same story, with the same talent handicap restraining the match's ceiling, but they injected their charisma into it, preventing it from being a total waste of time. Hyde/Sumner started well with some energy, but that one-note formula quickly became tired and redundant, as they meandered towards an highspot that seemed horribly artificial and inconsequential, wandering their way back to the ring to meekly finish a match that had lost any gravitas. Drake/Gage looked like an higher level of deathmatch, but got transformed into a tag match with a bottom-tiered team, which negated much of its excitement. Excellent/McBride was quite soft and sloppy, and outside of the finish was unworthy of being part of the tournament. Necro/Havoc was switched to a proxy fight, barely a match and just an angle. The first semi-final was decent, not spectacular and very cliche in places, but going fairly smoothly without overstaying its welcome. The second semi-finals had a nice contrast of colorful characters and gritty fighters, with the weapons following suit, before it transitioned back into a predictable tournament match that did little to differentiate itself. The Finals were as bland and conventional as possible, with four tournament regulars that do not feel different from last year at this point. This was just guys meaninglessly breaking neons for an unbearably long time. The show started decently, but devolved into a predictable route that became horribly boring, making the champion look like nothing and squandering the momentum he could have gained."
