The japan side carried the tournament while the booking was awful in American side like our of Serena deeb, thunder rosa, britt baker why they had to go for nyla? Thank god ryo won the damn thing. Well I would love if aew does another one but still this is a horrible tournament"
[9.0] "Best women's tournament that AEW ever produced (even during the pandemic). The U.S side had some good wrestlers in the bracket, however the Japanese side is where the tournament really shined. You saw different competitors (some recognized that appeared in AEW & some not). At first, I thought Ryo Mizunami was the wrong call. But looking back, it made a lot of sense why she won the tournament. In fact, I think the tournament helped her out for AEW fans to get a better understanding of her character. Anytime she appears on Dark, she gets a great reaction. The only complaint I had on the Japanese side (and yet people would probably debate me on this) is Aja Kong should had not been in the tournament. I know she is a legend and I get people recognize her, however the first bracket, it did not showcase Rin Kadokura well. I've seen Rin in the Joshi scene and she is very talented. I think they should had replaced another competitor to face Rin Kadokura to let her shine & show what she can do. Other than that, very great presentation of the female talent in AEW."
