| 1 | 22.11.2023 | violet011 | 7.0 | Almost a coronation of sorts for Ayako Hamada, beating Mariko in the final and avenging her tournament final loss 2 years earlier was a really nice way for this tournament to play out. It also helps that this one was much better than the previous big one day tournaments they'd had previously (aside from the Sky tournaments). Ayako being in this one but AKINO not getting a spot is some BS though, Yumi missing out too was a big shame when she often pulls out MOTT performances. Rie/Michiko, Mariko/Aja and the Ayako/Mariko tournament final are all really good/great matches and nothing else ever really falls below a good level. There also wasn't a whole lot of truly standout or amazing matches in this, the style had certainly changed by this point and some matches made me wish they'd slow things down instead of going for big bombs in every match. Still though, very good tournament and a big step up from previous ones. |
