| 1 | 26.09.2019 | Paul Allain | 8.0 | KOW/Masturbation was simple and light, starting the tournament smoothly. AnDrew/Smoke was cool even if the story was messy. BLKOUT/NJAS was super fun and could have gone much longer. H8/Presidents is the low point of the event, just a bad match. KOW/BLKOUT was a very good polished match that gave tons of credibility to the finalists. H8/AnDrew had good potential and showed the rookies could hang with bigger stars, but Nick Gage erratic behavior was terribly offputting. The Finals were seriously hampered by whatever was wrong with Nick Gage, with Justice Pain trying to cover but eventually going for him and leaving clumsy booking behind, but the Kings Of Wrestling used their skills to the best they could and managed to become credible new tag team champions, leading to an amazing angle afterwards. Everything involving Nick Gage turned into dangerous disaster, but otherwise I very much liked the tournament, it gave chance for lower card teams to show their stuff and get good exposure, it debuted Human Tornado in tremendous fashion, it highlighted the tag team division of CZW and it put The Kings Of Wrestling back on top, as their efforts are justly rewarded. A lot to love here if you can get past Nick Gage's worrisome behavior. |
