[10.0] "One of my favorite deathmatch tournaments ever. The entire tournament is extremely strong with the participants and the matches themselves. Thumbtack Jack, Masada, and Sami Callihan are all standouts in the tournament giving us the best matches on the entire card. Zandig got a nice send off with the Iron Man title. Brain Damage, Gage, Moxley, and Havoc all did good as well."
[9.0] "Ranking the tournament by itself, it's one of the greatest Deathmatch tournaments CZW ever put on. My favorite part had to be the storylines that were fueling the tournament, Zandig was retiring and facing his student, Jack wanting to finally get that trophy that was robbed from him, Danny Havoc and Sami Callihan blood fued, the UV title defended through the tournament, Masada's first TOD it's just great"
[8.0] "Callihan/Havoc is a fantastic opener, a prelude to their infamous Cage Of Death classic to come, using brutality to convey their hatred and progress their feud, but still left a lot to be done by the other competitors. Moxley/Thumbtack used a stipulation that never as been part of these tournaments before, making it both original for providing new means of violence and intelligent in preserving more traditional deathmatch formats for later on by using smart storytelling. Brain/Masada was a more traditional deathmatch that was kept basic and simple, yet showed aggression on a level that meant something and properly introduced Masada to the TOD circuit. Zandig/Gage served as a last encounter between these two, a fine way to definitively close a past era of CZW. Callihan/Thumbtack had a very dynamic flow resulting from Sami Callihan's lead, who dragged an obviously limited Thumbtack Jack to a nice, well-measured and entertaining match, and even with the contrived ending, it makes for a credible finalist. Gage/Masada was by far the low point of the tournament, mindless violence devoid of any meaning. The Finals was just a random deathmatch of guys hitting each other with all weapons available, but the structure of the show made it acceptable, they were protected and built enough to not be a disappointment and while I'm usually critical of excessive length, here it made these two newcomers into main eventers and provide a great redo of the botched finals of the original tournament. While I felt a definite lull near the end of the show, there is no denying that CZW took a crappy situation and turn it into a golden opportunity, as TOD Rewind is vastly superior to TOD 8, provides a basis for Masada to be a big deal in tournaments for the next few years, makes Thumbtack Jack a much more credible tournament champion despite his limitations and even builds up a big rematch with Nick Gage at Cage Of Death, making this show the ultimate redemption for CZW's ultraviolence."
[9.0] "Callihan vs Havoc was a really good opener getting the crowd warmed up, Moxley vs Jack was bloody as hell i can't believe the guy who would be a future WWE champ did that do his body, Masada vs Brain Damage kind of sucked but had its moments, Gage vs Zandig was fantastic best match of the tournament and we get some heart warming words from DJ Hyde to Send it in his last match, the non tournament matches were shit but Rich Swann jumping of a truck was awesome, Semi finals were both awesome but I felt Nick Gage passing out was shit he should have been pinned, the finals was intense with Masada and Thumbtack Jack stabbing each other with everything in sight it's a bloodbath but it was awesome."
[9.0] "This was awesome. We got to see today's favorite stars such as Jon Moxley and Sami Callihan in their early days, in a different setting than what we're used to. The tournament itself was awesome and had what you expected from TOD, brutal spots and intense action. Of course, the main event was legendary."
