2 | 14.04.2025 | Takeshitas Lariat | 9.0 | One of the most unhinged ideas of the attitude era despite the fact that it's the attitude era. As you'd expect from a shoot boxing tournament with a bunch of wrestlers looking for a payday, almost nothing went the way it was supposed to. Dr Death didn't win, Steve Blackman got injured, Dan Severn had one fight then peaced out, the dude who did win got fed to Butterbean in the one of the quickest burials you can imagine, the one intended outcome that actually happened was the best one though and that's Bradshaw getting his shit absolutely rocked in the final. I can't think of many wrestling concepts that have as bad a reputation as this one but here's the thing, it's awesome. It's way ahead of it's time and it's fascinating to watch it all in a row and see an actively hostile audience slowly won over as wrestlers clumsily beat the hell out of each other and even occasionally have quite good sprint boxing matches week after week. The majority of the fights are fairly action packed and the short 3 60 second round system coupled with the wrestler's natural need to get their stuff in makes for some wild and explosive moments of violence. Bart Gunn looks great throughout this tournament, he seems poised and unpredictable and he just keeps knocking dudes out and it's awesome. Shout outs to Savio Vega, Godfather and Droz for some particularly good matches too. The most frustrating thing about this tournament is what they did to Bart Gunn after it, this could have been the start of a proper push for the dude who knocked out Dr Death and Bradshaw but nah, let's bury his ass so bad he has to leave the country. This tournament is a mess but I had an excellent time watching it from start to finish. |
3 | 02.04.2025 | JTI | 0.0 | Jim Cornette has gone on record saying that running the Brawl 4 All was the worst decision that's ever been made in pro wrestling, and I'm kinda inclined to agree with him. Putting pro wrestlers in actual shoot boxing matches against each other is just about the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. This tournament was meant to be a vehicle for pushing Dr. Death because he was such a legitimate tough guy but then, oops, he gets knocked the fuck out by Bart Gunn in the second round. So maybe they'll make lemonade and push Gunn instead? lmao nope, he gets fed to actual boxer Butterbean at Wrestlemania and afterward has to exile himself to Japan just to get work. So who did B4A help push? Literally no one. The only thing this tournament accomplished was injuring multiple participants and/or fucking up others' pushes. The matches themselves weren't even fun to watch. Don't book a fucking shoot fight tournament if there's one guy in particular that you want to win. Does that really need to be said? This whole thing was just a weird ego trip for Vince Russo anyway, who booked the tournament just in the hopes of seeing notorious backstage bully JBL get his clock cleaned. What an absolute abomination this whole thing was. |

Whoever came up with the idea, whoever signed off on it, whoever allowed this to air should all be arrested. This was a horrible look for wrestling and the wrestlers who partake in it. Just a stupid stupid idea. |

10 | 02.09.2024 | crs285 | 0.0 | I'm sorry but I went and rewatched a lot of these matches and none of them are good. Severn was in it and should have been someone who lended credibility to it. Scoring system was awful and the competitors had no clue what they were doing. The winner got nothing. Honestly just there so Russo could see somebody beat up Bradshaw. |
11 | 27.07.2024 | RealGrapsThomsen | 0.0 | This was one of the worst ideas in wrestling history, just a pointless tournament that exposed the business and worst of all: Bart Gunnwon the whole thing only to be fed to butterbean At Wrestlemania and gain absolutely nothing. |

13 | 28.05.2024 | Ruthless Attitude | 0.0 | One of the worst ideas ever in the WWE. It was an unnecessary dangerous tournament thats boring because it had none of the spectacle wrestling fans love and also left it's mark by injuries to several athletes and also wound up permanently damaging careers. The scoring system made absolutely no sense at all which made the matches impossible to get invested in and most of the time it was obvious who was going to win so it was not exciting in any way. They absolutely buried Bart Gunn for winning the tournament so nobody got over at all. |

18 | 10.12.2023 | greaterdale | 1.0 | I don't think there's really much good that can be said about brawl 4 all. It ruined Steve Williams career, a bunch of guys got Injured, and the winner got the reward of being fed to Butterbean. Also the crowd did not care because they wanted to see pro wrestling not some bastardized version of mma. I guess it got Bart Gunn a push in New Japan at least and it's admittedly pretty funny seeing Bart Gunn shoot knockout Bradshaw so that's worth 1 point I guess. |

21 | 07.09.2023 | AidanArcher | 5.0 | Alright, I know this ruined many careers but this is history WWE can't forget. It was what if WWE x MMA was a thing. This also showed a darker version of certain people at the time. I enjoyed the documentary on this and it could've been executed better. I also think that if they scripted this just a little bit maybe so many people wouldn't have gotten hurt. |

30 | 03.02.2022 | rishabh | 0.0 | This was horrible in every way possible and one of the worst ideas ever in WWE history. The whole point of these kinda matches is to see who's tougher but with pre determined results it has no point, Not to mention the injuries concern. The winner Bart Gunn would also accomplish nothing from the tournament and would soon be buried. Just awful. |

32 | 12.09.2021 | Shadow Explosion | 6.0 | Honestly this Tournament is alot of fun if you watch it in full without watching full RAWS. Everyone has something to prove because the locker room is full of tough guys, but unfortunately there's alot holding this tournament that's been talked to death although one of the positives is that we learned from DSOTR is that The Godfather smoked pot with Butterbean and Gilberg, that's awesome. But the Tournament itself exposed alot of so called tough guys, Bob Holly got his bell rung mercilessly by Bart Gunn, Dan Severn got his ass kicked and probably shouldn't have won his fight, PCO IS LITERALLY 90% BLIND IN HIS LEFT EYE! THAT'S A SHOOT! This blind man came in and got his ass kicked by Dr. Death and then unfortunately the worst part of it all, not Bart Gunn getting K.O.'d by Butterbean in 30 seconds at Wrestlemania, but Bart Gunn tearing Dr. Death hamstring and practically ending Dr. Death's career when he was still at his pique, it does suck we don't live in a world where Steve Austin feuds with Dr. Death but he still feuds with Kane and Undertaker for SO LONG in 1998. Go out of your way and experience this mess for yourself, whilst it's really stupid if you think about it, just turn your brain off and watch the chaos that is the Brawl 4 All. |

37 | 12.04.2020 | DanTalksRasslin | 0.0 | A shoot hybrid boxing/wrestling tournament held on a pro wrestling show must've seemed like a good idea to exactly one person. And that almost immediately after the bell of the first Brawl for All match a loud chant of "we want wrestling" broke out should say it all. Confusing and often-changing rules made it hard for fans to get behind the matches, and no headline talent was willing to participate. Further confusing things, many of the competitors dropped out of the tournament early due to injury (Blackman, Hawk), after realizing they had nothing to gain from this (Severn) or were eliminated embarrassingly (Williams, Mero), and - since this was a shoot - even many of the competitors that stayed in it were injured to varying degrees. To top it all off, rather than capitalizing on Bart Gunn's surprise win to try making him into a new star, Gunn was instead taken off TV for months, and finally returned for a last Brawl for All match at WrestleMania 15 against toughman competitor Butterbean, who proceeded to knock Gunn out in a matter of seconds. Oops. I don't often give out 0 ratings, but this was a complete failure with no redeeming qualities, and no one who competed in it came out better for it. Amazing that this was going on during one of the WWF's hottest periods. |

39 | 14.09.2019 | TheGorgis309 | 0.0 | This tournament had no right taking place in a high school gym, let alone within the confines of a multi-million dollar, publicly traded company. A complete waste of time, money and talent, the Brawl for All either killed or severely hindered the careers of essentially everyone that took part it in (bar JBL) and served absolutely zero purpose in the long term has the winner was eaten up by Butterbean in seconds, making the whole win pointless. Plus basically everyone that participated got hurt, because that's what happens when you make wrestlers shoot on each other. Quite possibly the dumbest idea WWE has ever cooked up, and that is no mean feat. |

41 | 07.08.2019 | ZestyZuluWarrior | 0.0 | A now-infamous tournament that had 16 participants yet benefited not a single one even in the slightest. As a matter of fact, it hurt the credibility of nearly everyone especially Bart Gunn who was later made into a joke due to winning. Injuries galore and it should have just stayed in the board room. |
42 | 25.07.2019 | KyleEnjoysWrestling | 0.0 | I hated when this came on in the middle of a wrestling show. This is not wrestling. I don't know what this is. C-level talent wearing dirty gym shorts wildly throwing bad looking punches at each other? |
