[6.0] "Never have I seen anyone so talented be so boring. His work looks crisp and great most of the time but there is a complete drynesss to his wrestling, a lack of drama and flair that takes away from the talent and makes his matches feel boring unless in there with the right oponent on the right day. While I think he failed to give his part in the 92 BOSJ finals, he certainly delivers against the likes of Otani and Kanemoto on occasion and produced wonder matches from it, which makes my indifference to him all the more confusing. A talent for sure but one who never truly became as good as he should've been."

[6.0] "El Samurai had a great look and wasn't really an overall bad wrestler. However, his in-ring work was always very bland, specially compared to what other junior heavyweights were doing at the time. He did, of course, have the occasional amazing match, but more often than not he was the one being carried in those. All things considered, he did pretty well for himself, as he has been IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, J-Crown Champion, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion (with Liger, with Taguchi and then again with Kanemoto) and winner of Best of Super Juniors IV, to name a few of his accomplishments."
