She translated incredibly well with American audiences, proving that she wasn't just a temporary champion but a cornerstone of the division. While she may not always be in the spotlight, her influence and consistency make her one of the best AEW has ever had. |

The way Tony Khan treated her 3rd reign as Champion was disgraceful leaving it as a Placeholder for Toni Storm to become Champion. She carried the AEW Women's division at the most difficult time (the Pandemic) and should be commended for that. |

She's proven herself to be a standout in-ring competitor, consistenly elevating every challenge she faces with her elite wrestling skills. She's also shown her versatility, working in various match types and styles, and is great at selling her opponent's moves. Her outstanding charisma and confidence has established her as one of the fan favorites in AEW; plus, she is among the best at cutting an engaging promo. Let's not forget that she's a 3x AEW Women's Champion, including her first reign when -- during the pandemic -- she held the title for over a year (372 days to be exact). Hikaru Shida is undoubtedly a top-notch talent and has been, and will continue to be, a key player for the future of women's wrestling in AEW and beyond. |
