[10.0] "Possibly--not even possibly, definitely one of the greatest wrestlers to ever do it. All-timer excellent tag worker with his other half in Takeshi Ono, one of the most charismatic and physical professional wrestlers there could ever be. One of the grandmasters of bati-bati, somebody that makes you feel every strike he lands. There will only ever be one Daisuke Ikeda."

His NOAH run tends to get ignored or played down a lot, but a ton of his work from that time still holds up and proves he can totally work at a similar level in a fully pro-style setting. Just one of the greatest ever, hands down."

[10.0] "There are very few people on this earth who can bring the level of overpowering violence to bear that Daisuke Ikeda can, and even fewer of them are wrestlers. His matches opposite Ishikawa alone would give him a comfortable case for GOAT status, but the rest of his BattlARTS and Fu-ten work adds up to an incredible resume. The more traditional companies like AJPW and NOAH never really used him to his full potential, but that's a mark against them, not him. Ikeda even comes with his own lemons, and yet they couldn't make lemonade. But hey, look at his big sword! Whoa!"

These days he can still go when he needs to but he's pushing 50 and only working a handful of times a year. Different bookers, different times he could have really been something. Still he made his living wrestling for over 20 years and that's nothing to sneeze at."
