His matches opposite Ishikawa alone would give him a comfortable case for GOAT status, but the rest of his BattlARTS and Fu-ten work adds up to an incredible resume. The more traditional companies like AJPW and NOAH never really used him to his full potential, but that's a mark against them, not him. These days he can still go when he needs to but he's pushing 50 and only working a handful of times a year. Different bookers, different times he could have really been something. Still he made his living wrestling for over 20 years and that's nothing to sneeze at."
