[1.0] "I know he was from MMA and WCW decided to push him all the way to the top by making wrestlers do jobs to him in like 1 minute matches but let me explain how he got into WCW in the first place but he was just downright horrible and shouldn't even have been hired. Basically he was hired in 1999 during a bad year of WCW where it was on decline really badly and he was brought in by Vince Russo (the guy who caused WCW's downfall) and his first match was with Meng in a no-holds barred match which resulted in a double count-out whatsoever. Then in January 2000 during WCW's creative chaos Vince Russo had an idea to put the fucking WCW World Title on him literally because of Abbott being a shock-value, legitimate tough guy, but the idea was ultimately scrapped thank god because it would've absolutely sucked ass. Then in February during Superbrawl X, Abbott faced a man called Big Al during a "leather jacket on a pole match" which was an absolutely stupid match type but it's WCW in 2000. But then during the match Abbott literally pulled out a real knife which was a butterfly knife on Big Al which was unscripted and threatening to kill him. But he didn't kill him thank god and instead he dropped the butterfly knife, punched Big Al, and retrieved the jacket giving him the win. Then in April 2000 he was literally made into a joke instead a beast type character by WCW and so he was reinvented as an obsessed super fan of WCW and enforcer for the boy-band wrestling group, "3 Count", wearing matching metallic jerseys and dancing in the ring which was an absolute downgrade and a shit joke but also he was put in matches where he squashed many wrestlers and challenged for the world title without success though. Finally, the last incident that took place was at the Bash at the Beach where Abbott literally ran in during the match to help Kevin Nash, which literally paved Goldberg (who was the top star of WCW and the baby face) turning heel which was not a popular one at the arena when the audience saw it. But then Abbott was released due to budget cuts by WCW which was good since he was an absolute horrible wrestler and shouldn't have been in WCW in the god damn first place."

[0.0] "WCW's answer to Ken Shamrock, the main difference of course being that Ken Shamrock was a competently trained professional wrestler, athletic, had a great look, and a lot of charismatic intensity. Tank Abbott looked, dressed, spoke, acted, and wrestled like an unemployed stevedore who makes ends meet getting paid to beat up high schoolers outside the trailer park. I don't know if y'all understand how closely this man actually came to winning WCW World Heavyweight Championship. It's hard to come up with a better example of WCW's obstinate, objectively dogshit booking post-1998, spurred largely by their much-much-much-too-late realization of the fact that Vince Russo's booking can only ever work if it's run through a filter, and that filter needs to be someone with actual creative ideas and convictions, i.e. not Eric Bischoff. Fuck man, Tank Abbott would've made David Arquette look like Ric Flair. 0.5 rounded down."

Otherwise Tank Abbott was really bad in every way and I suspect Antonio Inoki used him as an inspiration of sorts when he lost his marbles and almost destroyed NJPW by bringing in shoot fighters with very little pro-wrestling training and somehow even less love for the business. And I honestly cannot any more point for that fiasco."

[1.0] "Tank Abbott was brought in to WCW due to his UFC career, with the intention of having a legitimate tough guy for Goldberg to face. It quickly became apparent that Abbott's in-ring work and charisma were both sorely lacking, though, and the feud with Goldberg never materialized. He instead wrestled random no-holds-barred matches with the likes of Meng and Jerry Flynn, antagonized WCW head of security Doug Dellinger and partook in a silly storyline in which he tried to join 3-Count before washing out of WCW and being released. He returned to the squared circle once in 2008 for a match with Josh Barnett in Inoki Genome Federation, but otherwise has stayed away from wrestling."

[3.0] "An OK brawling gimmick, bolstered by his real life persona. He came to the sport with a history of one punch knockouts in the top MMA promotion in the world. He had a wrestling background, but did not nearly possess the stamina to carry any type of technical match. Looking back, he was not a great fit. In the MMA world, he had a boisterous personality when compared to stoic martial artists. In the Professional Wrestling world, he was really below average on the mic. The song "It's just a Tank Thing", is best forgotten."
