[9.0] "Not a long career, but an excellent one, Doug Furnas was such a powerful and exciting figure for All Japan Pro Wrestling and deserves more recogniton."
[4.0] "I wanted to like him but he was kinda boring. Sometimes watching Doug Furnas is like eating a whole bag of stale, unsalted pretzels. Watching this guy working with Owen Hart & The British Bulldog adds salt and freshness but I swear they were the only two men to create ANY care for the guy (the Survivor Series 97 match is really great). Fantastic tan though, that and he had quite the leapfrog. 4.25"
[8.0] "One of those prime tag wrestlers who almost broke out as a singles wrestler (WCW really tried with that wheneverthey had him but they made him wrestle cruddy wrestlers like Dutch Mantell), but his team with LaFon is so legendary that it eclipsed his whole career. The Can-Am Express are one of the best tag teams of all time, and while I think LaFon is a better wrestler than Furnas, Doug Furnas was no slouch. Doug used agility and power while LaFon was more technical and strike heavy, this made their dynamic incredibly interesting and so fun to watch. Doug Furnas's dropkick is probably a top 5 dropkick of all time, I know Chris Hero said it was his absolute favorite. It's a shame his and LaFon's WWF run never panned out, I went back and watched it and they barely even tried to make these guys look credible. But I will say their ECW stuff is super fun to watch as well. Doug Furnas sadly passed away young at age 52, it's a shame him and LaFon never reunited as friends, but at least their legendary match against Kobashi & Kikuchi will be a lasting legacy among wrestling fans."
[6.0] "Another wrestling machine and powerhouse who was perfect for the tag team wars. Wasn't the best on the mic so that's why he worked better in a team where he could compliment a smaller wrestler."
[7.0] "Got to be one of the better tag team powerhouses there's been. A gifted physique and bags of power coming from powerlifting, he managed to pick up the wrestling basics quickly. Not quite the most fluent worker but he was technically sound and learned his role well."
[8.0] "A great tag team specialist. He was great with Phil LaFon. Excellent in AJPW. ECW he was champion with Phil and WWF great but not a great push. Unfortunately promoters did not focus too much on him as a singles. He could have gone further in his career."
